Not sure if its an old page or was it posted today

From https://www.liberal.ca/realchange/marijuana/

We will legalize, regulate, and restrict access to marijuana.

Canada’s current system of marijuana prohibition does not work. It does not prevent young people from using marijuana and too many Canadians end up with criminal records for possessing small amounts of the drug.

Arresting and prosecuting these offenses is expensive for our criminal justice system. It traps too many Canadians in the criminal justice system for minor, non-violent offenses. At the same time, the proceeds from the illegal drug trade support organized crime and greater threats to public safety, like human trafficking and hard drugs.

To ensure that we keep marijuana out of the hands of children, and the profits out of the hands of criminals, we will legalize, regulate, and restrict access to marijuana.

We will remove marijuana consumption and incidental possession from the Criminal Code, and create new, stronger laws to punish more severely those who provide it to minors, those who operate a motor vehicle while under its influence, and those who sell it outside of the new regulatory framework.

We will create a federal/provincial/territorial task force, and with input from experts in public health, substance abuse, and law enforcement, will design a new system of strict marijuana sales and distribution, with appropriate federal and provincial excise taxes applied.

problem is-we don't have anyone else to trust
That's because the new drug dealers are two faced, corporate attitude, politicians and lawyers.

those who sell it outside of the new regulatory framework.

That right there contradicts this line since it still creates a black market.

the profits out of the hands of criminals
Seems this is still a way to for cops to get their part of the cannabis money to fight illegal mom and pop stores/sellers.

Decriminalization is nothing more than a selective tax on pot smokers, imo. It allows cops to target people known to partake as a revenue stream. The ONLY advantage over what we have now, would have been the lack of a criminal record that goes with it. Beards 'plan' to work on legal would never happen, once the police departments get addicted to the easy money from writing 'pot tickets', it's not going anywhere. Look at traffic fines, they are a huge revenue source for the cops. Rather than waiting another decade or so for someone to seriously look at legalization, Canadians chose the guy that said he WOULD legalize. When that happens and what it looks like is something we'll have to wait for and hopefully help shape. The medical issue is a whole lot easier to fix and there should be no talk of recreational until that is done, imo.

Ahhh, yes, my pretties. Everyone's finally starting to realize the Liberals want Prohibition 2.0. In ten years we'll look back on this time as the final days of the golden age of cheap and plentiful weed. In the future it will all be corporate grown, government taxed, $15 buds sold mostly in government runs stores and low potency, overpriced oils in pharmacies. "Legalization!":cuss::spew:

I really think a lack of Phelan's decision is why JT has been moot on medical. I would think it would be hard for him to set any kind of policy for MMJ without reading Phelan's decision first?

Just my $0.02...

So, ditz how many letters to your politician or the media have you written to voice your concerns? I mean, someone as informed as you should be front and centre to protest the impending draconian marijuana laws. Let's hear more about how legalizing is continued prohibition. This should be good. I guess all those wineries and craft breweries, not to mention drinkers, are suffering under alcohol prohibition 2.0? Any chance you've addressed that with your MP? Surely allowing government to control booze is nothing more than prohibition, according to you. Seek some help with your Liberal phobia, or get a new tinfiol hat.

She has zero useful to say...she has no position and no point to make beyond wining.
I keep trying to get an intelligent response to my very basic questions, but the ditz is too busy trying to fabricate reasons why JT is the antichrist.
Internet Trolls Are Narcissists, Psychopaths, and Sadists

Jennifer Golbeck Ph.D.

Trolls will lie, exaggerate, and offend to get a response.
Let's start by getting our definitions straight: An Internet troll is someone who comes into a discussion and posts comments designed to upset or disrupt the conversation. Often, in fact, it seems like there is no real purpose behind their comments except to upset everyone else involved. Trolls will lie, exaggerate, and offend to get a response.

What kind of person would do this? Some Canadian researchers decided to find out.

They conducted two online studies with over 1,200 people, giving personality tests to each subject along with a survey about their Internet commenting behavior. They were looking for evidence that linked trolling with the "Dark Tetrad" of personality traits: narcissism, Machiavellianism, psychopathy, and sadism.

They found that Dark Tetrad scores were highest among people who said trolling was their favorite Internet activity. To get an idea of how much more prevalent these traits were among Internet trolls, see this figure from the paper:

Look at how low the Dark Tetrad scores are for everyone except the trolls! Their scores for all four traits soar on the chart. The relationship between trolling and the Dark Tetrad is so significant that the authors write in their paper:

"... the associations between sadism and GAIT (Global Assessment of Internet Trolling) scores were so strong that it might be said that online trolls are prototypical everyday sadists." [emphasis added]

Trolls truly enjoy making you feel bad. To quote the authors once more (because this is a truly quotable article): "Both trolls and sadists feel sadistic glee at the distress of others. Sadists just want to have fun ... and the Internet is their playground!"

The next time you encounter a troll online, remember:

  1. These trolls are some truly difficult people.
  2. It is your suffering that brings them pleasure, so the best thing you can do is ignore them.

"my pretties"? Are you drunk or just stupid? You may have noticed YOU are the only one with the crystal ball to see ten years in the future, so I guess we'll all just have to take your word for it. Far be it from us to question your special powers. Can you give us an idea what the price of gas will be in 2026? That'd be cool.
