  • Hello all.. newbie here, so forgive me for any Stupidity!! Never done this before, just thought what the heck see what happens
In the gardening mood and thought i would give my husband something special in the garden besides homemade pickles... trying out the 9 seeds that normally do not come as an ingredient with our normal stuff. I germinated outside, in my "something that is sorta my attempt at a compost pile dirt" and some pete and who knows what has been thrown into it over the winter. Just had to bring these guys inside today to take pic ....to me they look really awesome-- for now. Hot sunshine state , crappy sandy soil here germinated outside sitting on the grill. I think its right about day 10 or so and was wondering if i could get the opinion of an expert and maybe see .. NOW what? Reading thru all the information here ... I came up with, that i should maybe transplant to larger pot cover up too... the under-bottom leaves, and maybe try LST??? Will be outside with close attention..

I'm no expert, but I'd suggest you definitely transplant to bigger pots, and one per. Use decent soil, too, not just sandy dirt from your yard (unless you're a composting wiz, in which case I doubt you'd have posted in the newbie section). Don't cover the bottom leaves, though, just up to them, so the small leaves are just above the surface (but not touching the soil). LSTing will be much later, once there is actual growth to train. In the mean time, read, read, read! The stickied posts at the top of this section, and the outdoor growing section are likely to be your best bets for now.

Good luck and happy growing!

You're growing outside in Florida? Wow you're brave. Anywho, they look good. You should get them their own pots. Don't cover the bottom leaves, just cover the stems up to them.

Brave no, hence the outreach for advice and valid input. Didn't think they'd look this good and If it not for being out in the middle of next to nowhere... i would not. NOW curiosity I just really want to see if it would ... if it will make it. Who knows maybe it will push me to finally move to another state? Thanks for insight... I have been reading all morning ...

As soon as you can, replant them into there own containers...
Maybe cut off a Litre bottle in half... or something around a quart...
Before the little girls roots get any bigger...
You got to keep them seperated....
Good Luck!

They are too young to start LST. Let them grow a bit more before you start. Their stems are very young at this point and LST is just as easy once they get a few sets of leaves.

I would repot them into gallon pots with a good potting soil with plenty of drainage. Let them get used to the direct sun by putting them in a shady spot that doesnt get full sun all day until they are established.

Just sayin, since every one on this site is supposed to be a "legal" grower.... You may want to change your location, from FL.... ijss... lol
