Hey everyone,

I just wanted to stop in and ask what everyones thoughts are on the Diamond Series XML 10W Cree lights at (http://advancedledlights.com/3w-led-grow-lights/new-diamond-series-xml-10w-cree-xml/) were.

I currently run a tiny 100w light from them (http://advancedledlights.com/3w-led-grow-lights/new-diamond-series-leds-extreme-3w-led-technology/), and im very happy with it. Not a lot of power, but it took a plant from start to finish and she did *very* well :D

Thinking about buying another couple lights, and this one is on my list. Think the 10W Crees will make a bit of a difference?

Thanks!

Go with the 5w xte's that just came out :), they are far brighter and the spectrum has some whites in it and there seems to be a consensus here that white leds are the best. I absolutely love my lights and I will stick with the company until they steer me the wrong way. Every light I have received from them has done exactly what they claimed it would do. Only one problem out of 7 lights. They paid for postage I provided a box. Good company I trust them they have a PH.D behind them not just some ass clowns huddled around talking about making some money by dropshipping from china.

There's actually only 10 xml on that panel. I don't know what the rest are.
If you want a panel that uses all xml2 the only one I know of is rapidled's Onyx.

Imo all those CREE panels are a half scam they use a few cree diodes then the rest some Chinese crap that's how they can say it is a Cree light because yep 10% of the light is crees.

Onyx is good, the diy COBs are good, a-51 is good. I would say those 3 choices make a product such as the Advanced lights, overpriced, as yodaweed put is so eloquently:bigjoint:

No, it's a fully functional flower light. From what I understand its pretty much smaller cobs than the DIY users use, just more of them. I have one, the bloom light, and its nice. If you email them they work with you on price too!
After looking at it, Onyx seems like its something you use to supplement an HPS light. That right?

If you look at the FAQ section on Area 51 web site they're coming out with a panel with 10 watt leds says it will be different from current design. I just ordered a second xgs 190 for my 3x3 tent. I like the results from my first one.

Onyx is cheaper/more watts than those but yeah, WW seems to be awesome!

According to DBKick's grow journal the onyx bloom light runs hotter than expected and the Area 51 lights run cool from my experience (I have a SGS160 awesome light!).

Eh, I have a bloom in mine with a DIY cob, a 90w led panel, and several CFLs for side lighting. 4 incg exhaust with a carbon filter and it Only gets 6 degree above ambient...they also tell you if you are worried about heat about the back panel that is only held on with 4 small screws...I wouldn't let heat worry you at all

That's nothing I run a 400 CFM fan in my grow room cause the heat can get around 80F and humidity climbs out of control without it and a dehumidifier running in the same room outside the tent, I also run a 170 CFM intake fan.

But the A-51 runs cool? All of mine are in a 2x2 tent with those numbers and that small of a fan...that's why I am saying the Onyx Bloom is not hot enough to consider that a deciding factor. Also, that original journal you spoke about, didn't they get it fixed? It was something g with his actual unit I believe...
