Dialed in! 2x4 tent 1000w

Well after many many different configurations and playing with cfl led hps mh and combos of each I have landed on my final setup for this tent and things are dialed in NICELY.

I've managed to pack 850w of hps and mh and 180w of LED with an additional 50W of uvb into this 2ft. X 4ft. X 5ft. Tent with good temps and RH without use of AC and only 1 6" fan.

So here's the room...
Stats:
600w hps digital
250w MH magnetic(vertical)
2x 90w LED UFO's 8:1 red:blue
2x 25W uvb bulbs
6"x24" carbon filter>>600w cooltube>>>ducting to attic>>>>fan in attic.

Hottest temps at canopy 81 deg. (Average 78 deg.) Coolest 62 deg.
RH average 35%

Measuring an average of 44,000 lumens at canopy.
Giving me 5,500 lumens and 125W per sq. ft.

You have some math error somewhere. The lumen count is way lower than it should be at 125w sqft. At 1000w in 8 sqft you should be reading at least 12,500 lumens per sqft, a crazy high number that is only realistically supportable with CO2 and higher temps/humidity.

I aim for 7500 lm/sqft for optimal lighting without need for CO2.

The 90,000 from the 600 HPS should be enough to hit 11,250 lumens/sqft alone, too much.

Im referring to actual measures lumens at the canopy. Not the manufacturers rated lumen output for the bulbs. If so the. Yeah 90,000 lumens for the 600w and 18,000 lumens in the 250w conversion MH PUTS ME WAY UP THERE

But let's be honest inverse square law takes its toll and that's why I use MEASURED and at various points in the canopy I measure between 35,000 (shady or edges) and 58,000 lumens( in direct light). That's a more accurate figure for what my plants are actually able to use.
As far as co2 for this room my intake come from outdoors so fresh co2 is readily available at outdoor concentrations. My 430cfm fan pulling they about 8' of ducting and a carbon filter puts me at about 320cfm meaning 100% air exchange 8 times per minute. You don't think that will provide enough co2 to utilize 5,500 lumens psf?

Nope. You are giving them an excess of light. Unless that system is setup in a very wasteful way they should be receiving more light than they can use with the available nutrients and CO2 levels. If you want them to go into alien fast growth like your lighting supports they need an alien atmosphere of extra high CO2 and moisture. Otherwise at some point you push the plants to a point where you either experience no gain for the added light or you lose yield due to light stress.

Cool tubes so you can cool lighting seperately, and reduce rates, increase temps/humidity and CO2. But you may just want to try something smaller in the place of the 600w HPS. Or use a larger closet.

I like your ratios and setup, just too much in too small a space.

Based on my math you have ideal lighting for a 4x4 space.

And I am much more concerned with quality than yield. Enough light, broad spectrum, good nutes, temps, RH, airflow.

Btw I am doing autoflowers in canna coco with all canna line nutes in 3 gal airpots.

Hey, if they look good, give it a run and see if yield is what you would expect.

The light spectrum was where I'm impressed, you are hitting all the key spots, just at higher levels (except uvb) than you would want normally in that space. The bud quality will be great if it's not harsh from excessive light.

When you are done, give the same lights a try in the 4x4. I think you will like those results better. (but double or triple the UVB for that space.)

Here is the deal. Most people run 30-50w (4000lm/sqft to 5500lm/qft) sqft depending on the efficiency of their lights. I'm already in the crazy camp by running 75+ (7700 lumens/sqft) watts (not including UVB) a sqft. You are now in the extra crazy camp running almost double the lumens as I am. You are running what many people would use in a 5x5 or bigger. in a 2x4. I can promise you that you won't be ideal either for quality for quantity. Go a little bigger than average, not 3x bigger than average on lighting.
 
So it sounds like ur relying heavily on the manufacturers rated lumen output and not what's actually measured. Have you tried measuring the lumens lux or par AT CANOPY to see what your plants are ACTUALLY RECEIVING?

Add MORE unneeded horsepower,instead of replacing the tires..
I'd get co2 in there stat.
Gonna be some dense nugs!
 
Because if 850w (600w in cooltube 250w bare bulb vertical) is only measuring average of 45,000 lumens then measurable lumens and manufacturers rated lumen output differ by about 50%. And in only about 16" from the 600w and 10" from the 250w.

I just want to reiterate and be clear...this is AT THE CANOPY NOT THE BULB...therefore this is the ACTUAL amount of light the plants are receiving...

So you see...am I really running 108,000 lumens or is it more like 45,000? I'd say measurements taken at canopy are far more accurate than those taken at the the bulb, or 12 inches from source. Or even worse...the box the bulb came in.

It seems like overkill, but do what works for you... if your at 1gpw, who am I to have an input. I will say I like the difference selections of lighting, ecspecially the leds, im considering switching myself. Also, heres a chart, id stick with your meter but heres an idea of what king of lumen output you get at a certain distance.
