It's something most people are not taught. How the system works. Most people think if you go to the bank tomorrow to withdraw your funds they will have it in their vault. This is not the case and has not been the case for most of history. History is really a battle of money changers trying to be at the top of society through their manipulations. You can go as far back as Rome. A lot of Rome's problems were caused by debasement of currency.
The flip side is a deflationary system. This system slows down reckless investment. Due to a relatively limited amount of currency. It also ensures new production benefits savers and those who invested in it the most. And not those who have the most money necessarily. It means a price drop for everyone, hypothetically speaking. It means the old would actually be those who benefit the most from new technology (not that the rest of us wouldn't either) and it means they are actually the wealthy. Salaries would decline as well in such a system but not as quickly as prices of goods and services. This means those who laid the foundation also reap the most reward... which to me seems logical. And also very fair. But it requires folks to rethink their expectations.
We'd have a society of people doing what they love more than what they are forced to because some asshole is stealing all the hard work they are accomplishing, which is basically what's happening now.
How is it a few thousand people should benefit most from the work of literally the rest of the planet? In what universe is this natural or fair? Not in any. People blame capitalism for these problems. This is a ridiculous falsehood. The system we have only has VERY VERY loose connections to some capitalist concepts. It is not a capitalist system. It is authoritarianism at it's worst. Capitalism requires freedom to be capitalism. That does not even come close to existing currently. Quite frankly people who shriek about capitalism universally do not know what they are talking about or have an agenda they are pushing.
It should be noted these folks who run this system are all for "communist" systems of power. So long as they are on top they do not give a shit. As we can see in all Communist countries, it ends up with a few people lording over the rest of us as per their general goals. Ignoring the ideology which is ridiculous and pie in the sky at best.
