The bill requires the institute of cannabis research at Colorado state university - Pueblo (institute)

to develop marijuana tracking technology (technology).

The technology must include an agent that is applied to a marijuana plant, marijuana product,

industrial hemp, or industrial hemp product and then scanned by a device.

The scan, at a minimum, would indicate whether the marijuana or hemp was cultivated,

manufactured, or sold by a licensed marijuana business or registered hemp cultivator.

The institute shall select a vendor to develop the technology. After the technology is developed,

the state licensing authority must be satisfied that the technology provides

an effective means of tracking marijuana. After the state licensing authority determines the technology is an

effective means of tracking marijuana, it shall promulgate rules that require the technology

to be used by licensed marijuana businesses, and the commissioner of the department of agriculture shall

rules that require registered industrial hemp cultivators to use the technology.

The technology that scans the marijuana must be made available

to law enforcement and the department of revenue.

The bill clarifies that the gray and black market marijuana enforcement grant program

could award grants to law enforcement agencies to purchase the marijuana scanning technology.

lol, good luck with that shit.

how are they gonna apply something to the interior of big buds that will later get broken down into smaller buds?

or are they gonna spray something on after harvest? that's bullshit if they do that. when legalization comes to me, i'll keep growing my own.

I don't think the only reason for this is to track marijuana which is grown with state permission. The tracking idea will be sold under "safety". That's a lie of course, but a useful lie for the State.

It is to reduce competition from growers who don't suck the state's dick . Having this system will help the state create more "crime" , since any marijuana without the mark of the beast will give them reasons to continue to wage war on disobedient and free thinking people.

Ending the war on drugs isn't the goal of the state, it is to continue to create marijuana criminals, ironically by increasing funding of the police state via the taxes they collect from people who do suck the states dick.

Tax and regulate is a win-win, for the bad guys. Fuck them.

The bill would require a local cannabis research school to develop this marijuana-tracking technology, using either chemical agents, isotopes, nanotechnology, or other biological identifiers. It could even implement a distributed ledger or blockchain to encrypt it.

“The applied agent must contain identifiers that are traceable using distributed ledger technology to store records that can distinguish whether the marijuana is legal medical or retail marijuana or industrial hemp,” the bill reads.
“The proposed technology here is the plants maybe are sprayed with a chemical agent or absorb water with an unique isotope,” Vo said, based on his interpretation of the bill. If such an isotope readily absorbs into a plant, it would likely do the same to your body. “Even assuming it's harmless, I am now a walking beacon stating that I consume cannabis…Does that violate HIPAA [Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, a data privacy law for medical records], at least on the medical end? Now my personal health information is readily available to anybody with an isotope scanner.”
that last quote is bullshit

Salutations,

Makes sense, i'm buying! Except i'd expect the agent to be GMO pollen so they can mark/spray any outdoor operations they wish. There would be only a few markers needed: 1 for "organized crime", 1 for "medical" and 1 for "recreative". The verdict would be automatic guilt for non-GMO plants.

Evil (vilification) suits them best. That's only a matter of time, In The Name Of Children...

Good day, have fun!! :peace:
