Design Questions

Hi I have a 4' x 4' closet space to work with and I am wondering what size light would cover the entire closet. Would a 600 be too much/make it too hot? A friend suggested a 400w for this size.

Other specs:

Will likely be running a cool tube setup, growing in hempy buckets.

600 is good for 3x3 1000 watt is good for 4x4 or some say 5x5 the bigger the light the more heat you will fight. Are you running vented hoods is there ac in closet etc

I'd ditch the cooltube idea and go with a regular reflector. Cooltubes have terrible performance and only are worthwhile in a vert setup. Verify the results online yourself.

I think a 400 with mylar on the walls is going to be a winner.

I would go with a digital ballast that could go from 1k-600-400. ( I like solis tek)

Start with a 400 then work your way up. You can overdrive the 400 if you want to.
