What do you think of this design?

400 HPS in flower possibly taken up to 600 later on (hence the size of the flower room). Fluorescents for the moms, clones, and veg. I like even canopies and so far haven't had any issues with the growth under floros.

made this is sketchup by the way

I like it so far.

Are you going to including your wiring routing and plumbing routing in future sketches?
thanks

plumbing won't exist... wiring will be inside the walls... pre installed before any cabinets, counters, etc

I was mainly trying to figure out how to best fill the space... centered around 400 veg with 600 being an option later

8.5' X 8.5' is just the space i can work with
this entire area doesn't exist at all.. would have to build 100%

What are your goals?

Although I have no experience with them, those vertical colloseum grows seem capable of using a lot of space efficiently, using however many vertically hung lamps you need.

Also, because I'm totally hooked, have a look at the Philips MasterColor HPS- Retro White 4000k available for 250 and 400w magnetic hps setups. Google search is the best, but basically really nice spectrum. My experience is still only with veg, but so far is outperforming my run of the mill Philips 400w hps I previously had under the bat wing.

How far in the future are we talking here guidance counselor (lol)?

To start I'd just like to get it up and running and shoot for as close to a gram/watt as I can. Most likely ebb & flow. Just to get something going until I can get a good guerrilla harvest in.
I experiment a bit with different techniques like lst, lollipopping, and just letting them go naturally and in the distant future that's all I'll expect from my indoor stuff is to play around and learn. But that's a little farther away.

But for now it's a fantasy, empty space.

let me know how those lights do for bud because the one i have now is el cheapo and it does fine but i need to replace it

since sketch-up obviously isn't what turns you guys on let me try a different approach

maybe the real thing will get you going

here we have a floor... you see i had to build around the pole to line up with the beams to tie in to

put up some extra support for the plates (top of wall) to tie into

first wall up... test fitting the second before putting the outer frame together

second wall frame up... building around the vent which is why the shoe was longer than the plate

second wall up... third started on the way to the door

it's electric boogie woogie woogie... lights and receptacles in... daily use ones anyway... more to come on that later-stay tuned

there's the third wall done... first piece of drywall up... door hung (tehehe.. he said hung)

more drywall... lock installed on door

no... the code is not 420... nice try though

room design looks nice, id try and go for a perpetual harvest if ur going to be keeping a mother and have a seperate flowering and vegg area. also i think it might be easier to just split the room into 2 areas with a zipper entrance to something, ur taking up to much realestate making a seperate cabinate for everything. get urself at least a 600w hps and 600w mh if u split the room in half, and maybe t5 bank for clones.

nothing leaves this room until it's ready to be smoked.... hence the counter top work area

also... there are people who are not going to know what this is that will probably take a peak inside when it's finished... they aren't the type to keep poking around and i actually have a very good cover story

trust me... i can do perpetual in this space... maybe not full supply but i have other plans

t5 is on my list... i'm using a mix of cfls and tubes right now for veg... already have 400w hps... if i can do my part well enough that can supply me with most of what i need(read want[but then that's not really true now is it])

Sweet design. I'm drooling, wishing I had the space you have. I'll be following you on this one. I Especially like the cloning. mother area. Perfect for that, as well as instruments, nutrients, ect. I cant wait to see you project done!

thanks guys... quick update... the walls are up minus a little mud and the large cabinet is in with power (15 amp circuit with an outlet inside for fans and one outside for ballast)... routed a 6 inch hard exhaust line out (that's in another thread somewhere i'll find it later) that perfectly matches the ducts already in this house... i've test run the room with lights on and it's perfect as far as airflow and temp go... i'm very confident i'll be able to take it to 600 one day without changing anything

post more pics later... no time now

one of these is HVAC... one isn't.. can you tell which?

And here's a peek... old mom in there for the picture taking opportunity

the white ribbons hanging down are one to give me a distance estimate form light and one to hang thermometer on... fan in top left and bottom right in the back.. exhaust top right at the front... emergency blankets on the walls.. hto spots aren't an issue because the fans blow the sheets around a little causing the light to "dance"
