Has anyone had much success growing outside in the desert half of state?

I had some success, it's tough to keep the plants happy in summer though.

Nothing Spectacular but I have had decent results outside. My buddy grew some kushberrys last summer and they came out mighty tastey for being outdoors. The only thing you have to worry about now days are those damn "haboobs". That took forever to c,ean with a vacuum :)

Neither does mine...the smell is always super pungent, but like you I get very minimal crystal production. I know I could wash it off with water but 3 weeks from harvest I was a little skeptical.

You can wash it off even after you chop it, just be gentle so you don't knock off the trichs.
Some people even water cure. Not the best way to get good flavors, but it is faster.

That is what I was always afraid of. Good to know though. Thanks bro! :)

I once saw a video of Jorge Cervantes washing PM of outdoor buds with a solution. They dry one way or another.

Bird - lol. unfortunately, as soon as they begin to ripen, the birds snatch em quick. the vines are all full maturity though so next year will be a real harvest.

L.V. - I was more worried about the hoa than the cops. im supposed to have it in an enclosed, locked facility so i built this to comply, and to give the rest of my garden a break from the sun.

I was more picturing this on the news one night when the neighbors finally complain to the cops because their kids play on the other side of the wall and the smell of your flowering plants is screwing up the vibe of their Mormon BBQ.

what exactly defines an enclosed locked facility? would that include say... a chain linked dog run for example?

http://www.petco.com/product/12985/PetSafe-Box-Chain-Link-Dog-Runs.aspx?cm_mmc=CSEMGooglebase-_-Dog-_-PetSafe-_-970344&mr:trackingCode=7501DB52-CC87-DE11-B4D4-0019B9C043EB&mr:referralID=NA

with a chain link roof of course.
the exact qualifications are pretty clear in the amma guidlines you can find it on azdhs. something like ten foot high fence and a one inch thick solid door. its clearly defined.

10 foot walls to grow out in the open, other wise in an enclosed locked facility - like a greenhouse.
L.V. - I know ALL my neighbors, they're all cool, and fuck em if they weren't, I'm a cardholding patient.

My understanding is that 25 miles from a dispensery will be grow your own in AZ.What are the plant limits there? Are there any nice areas in the state to live that promise to be 25 miles from a dispensery.
