Is worldwide-marijuana-seeds.com changing names? The two websites are identical, right down to the prices.

Anyway, sorry to hear about your possible customs problems jester. Do they send you a letter like us customs does?
It looks that way. I know in their ads in hightimes they call themselves the single seed centre

even the letter says get caught again and youl be fined or go to jail.
I'm now getting worried mate.
3 orders gone missing and 2 I've been waiting 2 weeks for.
My PO Box is still in an old address for these reasons.
Damn, I still have 6 months of a suspended sentence to serve after getting busted growing.
I think I will have to cool it for a while.:-(

My order from Peak came in yesterday, 27 days. All seeds in good condition.

The order came in a white letter envelope, it was thick with no indication of what's inside, scotch tape shut. Inside were two peices of very thick paper folded to fit in an envelope; inside the paper was a thin sheet of bubble pad with a hole cut in the center for the seed package; The seeds were packaged in a small piece of sign board, like Elite, typical North American packaging. The sign board seed package was fit into the hole in the bubble pad and scotch tapped in place.

Excellent stealth and seed protection.

My rating ??? ..... ! 7 Thumbs Up!

.

Pick n Mix: .............. 16 days
Elite: ........................ 21 days
Peak: ....................... 27 days

For all orders, everything came quickly and with stealth. I got what I ordered and no damaged seeds.

Great showing by all three companies.

I germed the Flo and Taiga fem seeds and 4 of the 6 Super Strawberry Diesel. All sprouted and popped above ground within 3 days. All are healthy and have developed their first set of leaves.

My XXL grinder came in yesterday too, it's beautiful. 3 1/2" four part grinder with kief screen, curved sides in the collection bowl. Sharpestone I think is the name. The top has such nice weight you can almost spin it and let go to grind a small bud.

A good test, everything came out well, I got everything I ordered without any problems or need to contact the vendor - seeds and gear - as promised.

Nice to have from a seed company:

- online order and payment
- email on receipt of payment and shipping
- track and trace shipping
- labeling
- Smoke report descriptions - really, really lacking from all vendors. The most important information. Really it is.

I would be really interested to hear how the Taiga's grow out. I'm in the mountains with a short summer and they seem like the perfect fix if they bud out in 2 1/2-3 months as promised.

I have heard of folks having problems with growing and getting them to autoflower under lights. I'm wondering if some darkness is not required. Don't really know, but I would be happy to see any reports about the Taigas or if anyone has grown a outdoor-mix from sensi.

Thanks for all of the good info folks. Much appreciated.

They would be F1s, S1s - no F2s or above unless it's an IBL. I don't think Elite has an IBL strain that hasn't been crossed.

I don't know how mjseeds.nl breeds.

i ordered that thc bomb from mjseeds.nl they hare good about shipping and everything but i am wondering why they are so cheap. they claim that thcb has the highest yields out there what do you think? does f1 mean that yield will be better. what about hybrid vigour?

"i ordered ... thc bomb from mjseeds.nl ... wondering why they are so cheap. "

There's often no rhyme or reason to pricing - You can get Jack The Ripper by Subcool for $40 USD and it will take your head off after 8 weeks flower, or pay hundreds of dollars for beans from a crap breeder with a fancy web site or just ridiculous claims.

mjseeds.nl is a UK company so they have less LEO pressure than North American breeders, more competition. Prices are usually lower in Europe.

As well, they seem like a no-name breeder with their own distribution web site, or a distribution web site who buys no name or surplus seeds. I didn't see the name of any other breeders listed, we have no idea of quality consistancy if they get beans from different breeders.

Bubblegum is listed as an F1 - it's an IBL from Indiana I believe, with Serious and TH taking the same genetics and one inbreeding to the indica side and the other the Sativa. MJ.nl on the other hand has a "Stoned Indica high" WTF does that mean? Covering all the bases of what different people might want while saying nothing. So do they have the Indiana genetics or are they making their own F1 that resembles the legend?

They may be great beans but they have cagey advertising.

"they claim that thcb has the highest yields out there what do you think?"

Very doubtfull, but I'm sure it's a big yielder. Lots of breeders claim a strain with the highest yield. Check out Heavy Duty Fruity, big yielder too but neither strain says how they were vegged, what lights, what nutes ...

http://www.pickandmixseeds.co.uk/products/th-seeds-heavy-duty-fruity

"does f1 mean that yield will be better."

No. F1 just means that the plant is first generation from parents of different strains. For example, White Russian is an F1 cross of the parents White Widow X AK47. Every time Serious breeds new WR they use the WW x AK47 parents, not WR x WR - which would produce F2 seeds and most likely less stable in terms of sexual stability and other traits.

Hi Hobbes, we seem to be having difficulty with PeakSeedsbc not receiving our order (cash). We're very close to them (yes in the middle of nowhere <grin>) and they seem to be rated well which is why I ordered from them.

I went searching to find out more about them and came across this thread and read it with interest and saw you mention of "Strawberry Cough it should be an amazing strain for depression and anxiety". I did a further search as this is something I'm very interested in and found your post on another site "Depression & Anxiety: Strains to relieve symptoms". I was going to jump in and ask some questions but had major problems trying to register on that site.

I didn't have any problem registering here though but unfortunately I can't send you a private message so this is a bit of thread hijacking but I was wondering if you had started a similar thread here because it's something I'm very interested in and surely is an excellent topic of much interest to others.

I really like the idea of a lot of people contributing to classifying different strains the way you did on that other post (not sure if it's cool to link to it here or not so won't and kinda off topic for this thread anyway). I don't know if this site has a similar suitable area for such a discussion but I'd love to see one.

Cheers!

"we seem to be having difficulty with PeakSeedsbc not receiving our order (cash)"

In the US if a postal employee steals mail they go to prison, in Canada if they're smart enough to say they were drunk or high they get to go to rehab paid for by Canada Post - an employee who lives literally a stones throw away from me (for someone with a good arm, not me) did just that, stole mail for years to pay for his coke habit then went to rehab when caught then back to work once he was feeling well enough.

Peak has been using the same name and address for seeds for as long as I can remember, and every post I've read for lost orders has been a cash delivery - you can be sure someone is lifting cash purchases. Give Peak an email to see if they've gotten your order, if it's been more than 3 weeks since you mailed it out you can be sure it's been stolen by a postal employee, if you order from them again I suggest a money order and a tracking number for your mail. An extra $10 but you get peace of mind and an almost sure delivery.

As well, when you email peak send them the url for this thread page - it never hurts to let seed companies know that they're publicly monitored. Hi Peak!!

Good luck, but if they didn't receive your order they can't be expected to send free seeds, they'd be scammed out of business if they sent free seeds every time someone said that they lost an order. I really wish they would post on their order page that they would rather not get cash because orders seem to be regularly stolen from their mail than all other seed banks put together and that orders should be mailed with a tracking number to ensure delivery.

It's in Peak's best interest that every order be filled, I wouldn't be concerned that they get your order and not fill it.

I had stopped growing Strawberry Cough, I didn't find that the strain had enough potency or flavor. One of the people I grow bud for has anxiety problems, he asked for the strain again so I'm in the middle of harvesting 4 females from seed. The bud tastes better this time around, more potent. I haven't had any cured properly yet but the strain is going to be a keeper regardless because of the anti anxiety properties.

Kali Mist is another great anti anxiety strain - it's like an up- opiate. Longer flowering but more potent strain. If all you want is anti anxiety while remaining functional Strawberry Cough is the best strain I've tried.

I've got some posts around about strains for anxiety, depression and mania but they're in other people's threads for the most part. Here are some links to threads for mental health, I'll see if I can find one of the posts from other people's thread.

Thank you Hobbes I really appreciate the info and will go over those links.

Unfortunately I'm not sure how a money order will be any different, they request it be made out to "cash" so it's as good as cash and there would be absolutely no discernable difference with the envelope (we were *very* careful to ensure no one could detect there was cash in it). So if they have a record of losing cash payments I can only imagine it's because someone at their end who opens the envelopes is taking the cash. An inside thing in other words.

The only other scenario I can think of is that there is a postal worker who knows the address receives cash payments and so they open *all* their mail before delivery and scoop the cash ones, but then they'd have to reseal the money order and surely peakseeds would notice a bunch of resealed envelopes.

I agree there's no way they can just send out to anyone who says they sent cash in, however I don't want to throw good money after bad either. It's a shame because they're so close, I wish we could just drive there and pick it up. :)

I think maybe we'll try PickNMix instead, with the way the U.S. is I feel very wary of doing anything like this with them and all the other Canadian suppliers I've seen so far have outrageous pricing unfortunately.

What is the best forum here to discuss the mental / physiological effects of different strains? (I'm curious about it but I don't want to hijack your thread any more)

I find this forum, Seeds and Strain Reviews, to be the best. This is where people come to talk effects, the medical forum gets less people, fewer posts. An idea would be to put the main thread in Seeds and Strains Reviews and in the medical forum have an identical thread title with only a link to the main thread (copy and paste url). The thread title will stay on the first page of the medical forum for awhile, you could ask people to post a TTT with each view to keep it near the top.

Feel free to use any of my threads for discussion, I'm interested too. Thanks.

Pick n Mix in the UK is an excellent company, I put an order to them last week for Kushberry and Flo.

Just for the record heard back from Peackseedsbc today and they made us an offer to make good on the lost first payment which we took them up on. (Didn't want to leave it hanging looking like they had not tried to make it right after my first post.)

Thanks for the update post ab145. Peak is a good solid company, great breeders. If only they'd get Tedada Timewarp feminized seeds from clone in stock .... *sigh*. I've been waiting three years for TT, we all need our dreams to keep us going.
