Dehumidifier during lights off ?

Hello guys , i am growing 2 Dinafem's OA .. so far its been every thing ok with my grow .. the only thing is that im entering now the final 2 / 3 weeks of flowering and my RH is allways arround 50 - 60 % .. i leave near the sea so its hard to pull it down now that i use Cooltube .. because with bare bulb my humidity was allways lower... but now thats out of the equation because of the temps ..

My question is , i started today running a dehumidifier during lights off .. to give them a few hours of low humidity so they get more resin .. but as soon as lights go on .. dehumifier will go off beucase together the temps will be off the roof off course .. and humidity will raise again probably to 50%

Will my plants benefit from that hours with low humidity , and is there any problem off having the temps allways arround 83 F with lights on and off .. because the dehumidifier releases heat.

Here are some photos of my babies so far

If RH doesn't get above 50% when lights go out, I wouldn't run it. Cannabis seems to thrive under cooler temps at night. I've personally not seen better resin from RH lower than 40%, but it may differ strain to strain.

yes i'm in a sealed room . and the temps now with dehumifier are on 85 F ... so i think its too much .. maybe i will have to turn it off .. i have more humdity with lights on than off .. because of the outside night air intake .. cooltube really helped me bring down the temps . but its not helping with the humidity .. it was just for the resin producion. i'm not worried about mold i leave near the ocean and mold was never a problem.
I already read somewhere that sometimes more resin does mean more Potency but ... its more appeeling to the eye .

And I've noticed little improvement in gland production from plants grown in 50%-60% to 40%- 50% RH

I have a dehumidifier in the basement running, not in my actual tent..but I keep the vents open. The humidity is a consistently between 40 and 60% in the tent which seems to keep the ladies happy. I run mine 24 hours a day.

jarvild i dont have CO2 enrichment , maybe next grow i will give it a run ... anyway the co2 in here its very hight i think cause there alot of traffic all the day anyway i dont think it will be enought too withstand such high temps ... i already turned it off .. now its outside the grow .. maybe it will help a bit .. anyway right now are in 45 % Rh so its ok .
When you say gland production , what exactly are you talking about ?

PS: Sorry for some mistakes in my writing but i leave in the other side of the ocean ;)

Trichromes are glands that contain the psychoactive chemicals in marijuana. Humidity has little to do with their production. More likely to get increases in trichs from light intensity and UV lighting than humidity.

yes i'm right there with you m8 , i've already read that and it makes total sense but i belive that low humidity can also cause some resin production , like a self defense mechanism against drying out. but for shure the uv plays the most important role for the resin production.I
have a Philips Green Power BULB .. suposed to be dual spectrum .. my only problem is that if my cooltube isn't filtering the UV rays.. but so far they look great lets see the end product :)

PS: thanks for the input ..

Hello again , one question if i may, i just bought 2 of those today ..
exoterra.jpg

i will add them one on each side of the hps .. my question is should turn them for 5 ou 6 hours direct or should i turn them 15 or 30 min's for each hour .. i read in strain hunters forum to add 15 min of uv bath for each hour but i already read alot of people saying to turn for 6 hours in the middle of the 12 on .. others even do it 12 hours . but i think that is already too much uv

thanks in advance
