Dehuies...Anyone find that regular household ones don't cut it?!!?

Now, my room is sealed and about...I forget...about say 10' X 14' or close to it....This last run I had 16 plants flowering under 4 1K HPS lights in Mag. XXXL air cooled hoods with a full on 2 ton mini split. I have the veg. room separated by a wall and sealed door of course and it's about a 1/3 the size or so....Air exchange is done by 2 opposite inline fans with duct just through the divider wall.

I ran 1-70 pint Danby dehuy(brand new) on a continuous drain(w/condensate pump) and found that it certainly was not enough for the 'lights out' temp. drop. So, I added another 70 pint dehuy to the very opposite side of the room and it too was on continuous drip. This helped the night time temp. drop increase in rH go from 80%+ to anywhere from 60%+-70%+. However, while running 2 70 pint dehuies at their max turbo speed etc., I could never NOT reach a peak of 60%+ as SOME point during the night...There was always at least a spike which my Sentinel CHHC-4 would tell me every time the next morning and I reset and checked it daily.

ANYONE else have this issue with regular dehuies? I'm thinking I need to invest in a big ass industrial dehumidifier because I'll be running all 6 lights with at least double the plants very soon!

Any suggestions on a great industrial dehuy?!

Thanks in advance!!

lol, where the hell do you live Miami? 2 dehumidifiers can't get it down below 60%? That sucks.

yeah, wow. get this, i am in the south and very humid. my rooms total 10x11, flower is 6x10, veg is 5x10. also with seperating wall and fan assisted circulation between them. i have all t5's in veg/clone and 3 1k in flower, a 12000btu minisplit, and a 55ppd walmart dehumidifier that has no problem keeping rooms at 45-55rh, with 80 plants between the rooms.

So Cal here...I'm not sure if it's due to the room being a sealed room, you know...a CGE...

During the 'lights on' it's fine...I can get the rH to 35% or so if I want but at some point during 'lights out,' rH at least peaks into the 60's-70's. Even if I raise the temp. on the mini split right when lights go out, there's still a spike in humidity that the Sentinel CHHC-4 is registering from it's sensor. I'm not sure for how long the rH is up that high w/out sleeping in there or setting up a freakin video camera.....ANY ideas??

JEEZUS...maybe it's just the CHHC-4 sensor that's overly sensitive to condensate or something......Idk what to do other than to yet....The dehuies are great Danby models with good reviews etc.

Try adding more circulating fans for the night cycle, like a couple oscillating fans on each side of the room on high speed mixing up the air more.

My CHHC-4 sensor seems pretty sensitive to humidity too, although I think it's just more accurate and not a bad thing.
