Defoliation During Flower...

If your going to pluck and cut leaves do it in early flower or before. Pulling leaves that are still green in flower isnt going to make anything bigger or better, actually the opposite. Youll loose weight and stress your plant. If it is a necessity that you de leaf (mites, powdery mildew, space, airflow, SCROG, sog, insufficiant lighting, wayy too many big plants in a small area, ect..) do it before flower or early flower.
When that plant starts rollin you dont want to mess with her much. Powdery mildew or badly infested mite leaves should be removed however no matter how late in flower you are ;) trust me ;)

i do this.. but not like deleafing the entire plant.. i just pull off some of the fan leaves closer to the pot.. lowest down.. and work my way up.. so that everything from the top to the bottom ends up no larf.

If you think that this is such a great idea then why do you cut off the leaves as well as the larf you hate so much? Again bad botanical practice that makes noobs feel like they are in control of their plants. Which by the way you are, my apologies to your plants.

One thing about me other than growing is that i do express the gift of decernment. I started this thread out of strategy to better my grow. What i mean is i couldnt decide for myself if i wanted to try the technique or not. Also it wasnt a bad thing to start another thread concerning "Defoliation" for this to will better help those who can not decide. For those with them imature comments, it takes away your polish. You should know youre way of confirmation should be presented as if you were a true mayor. I set this thread up again because i was undecided and very tempted, do to some great defoliation outcome pics and info i read up on. So instead of making the wrong choice my strategy was to let the community decide for me and i to honor that. But those who bark foam and trash out of their mouths i have no respect for that. I can almost assure that everyone started a second thread to a matter. Also i will NOT be defoliating. Thanks for the comfirmation. The Gardian! :peace:

Do anyone oppose to defoliation during flower if so why?

Also when would it be best to start defoliation process?

Does hight and size matter?

How often should i defoliate during the 8w flower stage? Thanks in advance?
I don't defoliate till my last week of flower and then I take it 2 extremes I chop every leave off first the fan leaves then the sugar leaves (I keep these lol) I pretty much manicure the buds while there alive makes the curing process much better and faster ..... Tho if anytime during flower if I can't open up a bud site by tiring it bending it I'll remove fan leaves that block a good bud site also I like to remove all lower bud sites from the plant within first 2 weeks of flower if it isn't in the top canopy I remove it

in flower i would not remove leafs.

in veg it can be to your advantage, you can learn to train the plant with such methods. however you do need to have a plan as to what you want to archive, just removing leafs for no reason is a bad idea.

Thanks for your insight. Everyone has their own way and no one elses way is the dominant way but would it be wise to do a plant as if it was a canopy or just let it grow? Would the lower bud sight prevent effective upper growth? :peace:

And to the ppl who have no input or just wanna be smart shut the fck up .....u wanna see full defoliate bud grow that produce look em up on utube ppl do it and it does work it's a matter of opinion ... Stressing. Plant during flower can increase and speed up bud growth plant flips out and produces more trichinosis to defend its self it's a matter of opinion

I lst or super crop my plants for a even canopy at the top and yes removing the shit bud site will increase your top bud sites size and improve yield

This i fully agree with, the key to having a large harvest is your preparation and planning in veg. You need to do all the work in veg, removing the lower popcorn buds is something i also suggest.
