well i see some little roots pokin out on quite a few, but it seems like some are lagging behind. im wondering if it was cause i used an older blade in my xacto knife =/

oh well, im sure they will all turn out ok. tonight is res change, already got the soup mixed. just waiting for the lights to kick on.

yea, so a couple days ago i stopped all foliar feeding and spraying of the leaves as there was very little progress on roots, and ive cloned much faster. literally overnight after stopping spraying i had significant root growth. talked to a friend of mind and he had mentioned spraying them might have been slowing them down. he feels that less moisture influences the clones to root faster to seek moisture. im thinkin next time im not spraying nothing. res change tuesday, and pic update soon, trichs are starting to form.

thank you, i totally am diggin the cooler as well. its like zero maintenance. i have a water pump in there to warm the water up if it gets cool but really only had to kick it on for like a couple hours after i had first filled it. just took some pics, everything is pretty much not requiring adjusting right now, though yesterday i cut the soup on the flower res to 850 because i had seen some clawing going on... heres the pics:

Looks good man, I like your setup. All I would suggest is that you trim out all the leaves and small branches that are under your screen. Everything under there is shaded by all the foliage above the screen so it will not really fill in, so trimming that off will allow your plants to focus their energy to only the colas rather than basically wasting energy on scraggly lower buds. But don't trim it all at once because taking that many branches and leaves off the plants at once will be stressful for them so slowly take them over three or four days maybe even five. Just my opinion, but good looking shit either way man. sub'd.

yea i had pruned my last scrog, i was checkin out how this one did in comparison.

edited to add:
im not exactly convinced cutting any fan leaves off would be any good, as there are plenty under the screen and they get enough light to live so i dunno...

Right on man that's cool. Always good to experiment with little things like that. And it's always just personal preference anyway and if the fan leaves under the canopy are getting enough light definitely don't take them off. It just looked like you had a pretty thick canopy going so I just figured that they weren't getting that much light. Keep up the good work though man your shit is looking nice and healthy so far.

the thing i was trying this time was to kinda keep the lights low and close to the screen as possible and just utilize the screen to train the plant bushier, and hopefully be able to utilize the budsites that are lower than the screen as well. all in all though im gonna be growing more plants next go round like 20 or so in a 4x12 or something, so i wont have to veg all the plants as big...

and the slow rooting on my clones was probably 100% because of the misting and foliar feeding. as soon as i stopped roots started blowing up everywhere...

4 clones culled today for lack of progress on roots, which im cool with, i will probably end up with 10 good candidates for the next run and anticipate possibly picking up some other clones as well. res change tonight, did something like:

200ml dyna-gro bloom
400ml dyna-gro pro-tekt
250ml liquid karma
250ml hygrozyme
ec: 1.6
ph: 5.8/5.9

nodes are startin to pack on size and starting to get frosty. pic update tomorrow possibly, think i need to get some sleep, all sorts of life goin on right now =D

kk res change on clones today:

ph 5.8
ec 1.0
temp 67F

everything is looking good, about half the clones have some really impressive growth in roots the other half not so much. plan on doing pics tomorrow, want to kinda wait for a little more frost before i start takin shots...

Ohh....I bet they are frosty!!! Bout half way...good luck on yield!!!
yea, trichs just started forming a little bit ago, i snapped off some quick pics, it is deep in there, the plant on the right is still lagging behind, and this was cloned off of the center plant from my last grow that was stressed badly. originally was under the assumption that it was a pkxtw clone but it is showing a lot of different characteristics. last time i was not able to really see what it did because it never really reached the canopy but i didnt want to disturb the root mass of my other plants so i left it. lol i hope it doesnt end up being some ridiculously good fire, because i dont have a cutting of it. i could take one right now but i cant be bothered lol. next run im doing side by side soil/hydro, but im grabbing a lot of other clones. tomorrow im gonna be transplanting the clones out of the res and into some dixie cups, just so i dont have root masses i cant separate, ive had great success in transplanting dirt to hydro already so im not worried ;-)

im taking it easy on the pics for right now, when everything gets under way with some serious frosting i will get some legit macros and upload in hi-def. if anyone has any questions feel free to ask =D

also, just a side-note, i believe i controlled the vertical growth very well, and i have a feeling if i had 1kw's above instead of 600w the popcorn would end up real nice. i believe im going to chop the small plant first and take measurements of the big one. its like a garden hedge, its actually quite nice to look at in person.

edited to add:
also, i really dont like the idea of pruning, because ive watched some shoots that i know i would have pruned and they took off. so im kinda sitting here thinking about what im gonna do next time.

Who here grows in a sterile (aseptic) environment?

NOBODY.

Just wanted to clarify that. Really nice scrog bubble grow man. MMMA here also.

Some choose innoculation some choose sterility. It really depends on the ferts youre using.

Chelated or naturally ocurring.
There are many hydro growers not using bacteria and such. These growers
depend on chelates to allow all elements to be readily available to plants.

Well done 4x4. Well thought out and high quality. I would give your plants a little more space from the lights.
24" from a 600 watt is a ton of light, I space about 30" from my 600's and about 40" from my 1000 watts.

Much better growth.

yea, i am raising the right light up a little bit tonight, was more concerned about hopefully getting more penetration to the lower growth.

as for a sterile environment, no, it wouldnt be sterile and i thats a quote off the label. me personally though i do not believe dwc needs any bacteria that would be very helpful in a soil grow. thats only because all the elements they need are in abundance. either way, not up for any debate on the subject.

as for the 4x4, gonna be setting it to the side after this run i think, or partially through the next one as im getting a 4x8 or 8x12, and adding another light and throwing 2'x4' t5's in the 4x4 and it will be used for cracking beans/clones/mothers...

btw nice warehouse grow shrubs!

im getting started at running the electricity and everything in my facility, and was still having great indecision of what system i am going to use. i will more than likely end up in recirc dwc with auto-dosers, but i been looking at flood tables...

went shopping today, picked up some small dirt pots to tranplant my extra clones to, and im gonna be putting the two strongest into 6" netpots to continue vegging. also might be getting another t5, or a HO cfl because i have no light on the right side of my closet, and im gonna need it now... i think my last TW clone is gonna go into the flower tent somehow today, dont know where im gonna fit it, but i want to get it started cause im gonna let it go as long as it needs to...
