This is my 2nd grow and first time with auto's. Feel free to chime in, watch, shoot the shit, whatever.

Strains:
2 Auto seeds Candy Kush - sprouted on March 19th
1 OSSC Jack Herer Auto - sprouted on March 20th
1 HSO Dedoverde Haze Auto - sprouted on March 30th

5 Gal fabric pots with a Mix of Happy Frog, Coco, and perlite.
Running Jack's Citrus feed and after stretch stops then some Jack's bloom booster

Currently got them under the 600w mh and when they start flowering I'll swap to the hps bulb.

CK1.JPG CK2.JPG JH and DH.JPG The girls 410.JPG Where's the Sprout.JPG

So the first 4 pictures are all from April 10th, the last is a little game of where's the sprout?
Left to right we got Candy Kush #1, Candy Kush #2, Jack Herer, and the DedoVerde Haze.

CK1 418.JPG CK2 418.JPG JH 418.JPG DH 418.JPG

Now these 4 are from April 18th (today) and have the same order of appearance. CK1, CK2, JH, DH

Starting to get to the interesting part on one of the girls, CK2 has been showing sex the last 2 days now. Anyways I'll keep this fairly updated for my own reference and because I know the dedoverde haze auto has nearly 0 info (I looked) and it could help someone out.

Update number 2
4/25/2015

All 4 of them have shown off their lady parts now. The dedoverde haze looks to be a bit of a runt, same thing with the jack herer. Both were listed by their breeders as being taller than the 2 candy kushs that are towering over them right now. But we'll see what happens in the coming weeks.

Going to be swapping bulbs out either today or tomorrow as candy kush number 2 is showing a lot of preflowers.

Here's some updated pic's of the ladies.
ck1 425.JPG ck2 425.JPG dh 425.JPG jh 425.JPG

First Pic is CK1 who's quite a bit bushier than her sister and not nearly as tall.
Second pic is ck2 who I had to move to the outside as she's getting too hot in the middle and I can't raise the light too much more just for her.
Third pic is of the Dedoverde haze who is showing sex with only 4 nodes.
Last is the JH who's really a stacked bushy girl but was the last to show sex.

Update number 3

They're flowering now, some faster than others. Heat still is a primary concern, going to get a window fan pretty soon and see if that helps. Dedoverde is the only one that seems to be stretching still, probably grew 4-5 inches in height this past week. Candy Kush number 2 is a hell of an eater though, she'll clear that 5 gal pot of water in 1-2 days easy. Been a few surprises so far though like the dedoverde haze showing sex with only 4 nodes, or the 2nd candy kush being 1 foot taller than her sister. Right now I'm hoping they get flowering pretty quickly, as it is I'm starting to doubt the finish times on these plants (except the dedoverde haze) and thinking they might go well into June.

ck1 502.JPG ck2 502.JPG dh 502.JPG jh 502.JPG

First pic is a freshly watered Candy Kush numero uno, she droops like grandma boobs after watering.
Second pic is the other Candy Kush and she's doing well but is showing some heat stress. Kind of have her stationed a bit to the side so she can catch breezes from the window more often.
Third is the Dedoverde Haze that hit a growth spurt, really thought this was going to be a runt plant but hell she keeps growing/flowering at the same time.
Last pic is the Jack Herer, she's a bushy girl but really never shows much reaction to anything. This is pretty much my energizer bunny plant. Doesn't matter what I do or don't do, it just does.

Do have to say I love using dry nutes vs. liquid. No spills/mess just open tub and scoop, next run I'm ditching the coco and might try RM3's mix so I can ditch the cal/mag and silica.

Update number 4
05/09/2015

This rain and lower temperatures have been great for the girls. Did have a little oops with the dedoverde haze and gave her some nutes from the big girl bottle, so she's pretty dark green now but didn't get too burnt though surprisingly. The jack herer is taking its sweet ass time with flowering, probably not going to hit the advertised 75 days with this one.

Some more crappy hps pics:
ck1 509.JPG ck2 509.JPG dh 509.JPG jh 509.JPG

First pic is Candy Kush number 1, she's slowly coming along and not that frosty yet. Hoping she'll start growing a bit faster in the next couple weeks.

Second is Candy Kush number 2. She's growing quite well and is starting to get some frost on her thankfully. She might actually finish close to the advertised time of 75 days but I'll probably run her a bit longer anyways.

Third is the Dedoverde haze. She is actually the frostiest of the bunch, despite her size and being the last one planted.

Last is the Jack Herer which is slowly getting some budsite development and will probably not hit the advertised mark either. If worse comes to worse in a couple weeks I might just put this one outside.

Close up of the Dedoverde Haze:
dh closeup1.JPG
She's even got some trich's on the fan leaf stems. Pretty impressed with this little runt, especially since she was just an afterthought.

Update number 5
05/16/2015

No real issues or concerns this week, so they got to just grow unhindered. I figured they would start to smell more but they really don't stink that much. I'm not that great at the smells, better at tasting them while smoking so unless they really get some odor going I can't describe it too much other than they smell like plant.

Moved them out of the closet this time when taking pics so they should be a little better.

ck1 516.JPG ck2 516.JPG dh 516.JPG dh closeup2.JPG jh 516.JPG

First pic is of the Candy Kush 1, she's starting to swell a bit more and has closed the height gap a bit, only about 2-3 inches shorter than her sister.

Second is the Candy Kush 2, she's filling out nicely like when you see your crush from 8th grade on the first day of high school.

Third and fourth is my little snow angel the dedoverde haze. I've got 2 more seeds of this strain to plant outdoors later so hopefully I can get one to grow much larger.

Last pic is of the jack herer who is starting to bud pretty damn fast now and might be the bushiest plant I have now.

Update 6
5/23/2015

9 weeks for the Candy Kush and Jack herer, ~ 8 weeks for the dedo verde haze.

Took a bunch of pictures today but as luck would have it I misplaced my cable to connect to my computer. So the pictures will be posted later today.

Anyways this week has been pretty damn cold and wet which is great for the temps in my closet. Highest I hit all week was 84 degrees while most of the time it was right around 73-77. Girls are looking pretty damn good. The dedoverde haze is starting to get some orange hairs (will show picture later) and both candy kush's are starting to pack on trich's. The kush's don't have much frost on the leaves but the calyxes are starting to get coated nicely. Jack Herer is playing catch up and is flowering really fast which is nice as June can be pretty toasty here in CO.

Later today I'll go a little more in depth with each of the girls while showing off their photo shoot.

your gals are looking quite nice, especially CK2, fat cola on her already, she will be a good yield

the jack looks very promising, she ought to do very well, and I do like your little snow angel, it looks feisty

dedo verde are Spanish words, which I can speak a bit, but those words puzzled me as dedo = finger and verde = green

I just googled it and it translates to green thumb LOL

Finally got those pics uploaded.

ck1 523.JPG ck1 top.JPG

Candy Kush number 1 - Not quite as 'endowed' as her sister but she makes up for it in personality. She really likes to show when she wants to get watered, and when she's had enough. Tough plant so far putting up with less than optimal conditions. She's a little shorter than her sister but a little wider but otherwise they look pretty similar besides how developed they are.

ck2 523.JPG ck2 top.JPG ck2 close up.JPG

Candy Kush number 2 - She's been a great plant, really can take whatever you give her and she doesn't flinch. Really been a brainless plant to grow this far, but that's a bonus in my book.

dh 523.JPG dh top .JPG dh close up.JPG

Dedoverde haze - She's quite a bit different from the others with some unique fan leaves and that she's really soaked in trich's (pictures don't do it justice). She has frost under leaves, on stems, on the leaves, everywhere. She's a little more sensitive on the nutes and is starting to drink water really slowly now. But even though it's hard to tell she's actually swelling up quite nicely and might yield 3 blunts of smoke instead of my guess of 2.

jh 523.JPG jh top.JPG

Jack Herer - This plant was slow to mature but is starting to show why it was worth the wait. She's my bushiest plant overall and has leaves everywhere, but she's maturing really fast which is great. Probably going to be the last one I chop but could end up yielding the most. She's chugging water now though and drinking more than my ck2 which was drinking the most for a while.

Starting to get close to the finish line, hoping by mid June I'll have them all chopped and some outdoor ones started. That way I could be smoking some of my homegrown by July 4th.

5/31/2015 update

Starting to near the finish line for 3 of them with the jack herer trailing behind.

Ck1 is starting to get yellow leaves and I can't really seem to stop it much but have slowed it down a bit.

Ck2 is slowly ripening and should finish up here soon.

The dedoverde I'm probably going to chop later this week as she's pretty much done. Just letting some of the lower buds fatten up for a couple days.

Jack is getting some frost now and is really packing on some weight. Hopefully it's a fast flowering pheno as these temps are getting hard to manage now that the days are getting warmer.

Will try to get pics up when I can hook my phone up to the computer.

Boy you weren't kidding about not finding any Dedoverde Haze auto grows on the net were you? Far as I know, you and I are the only two people growing it. :-) well, probably not. I'm curious why you went with such small pots? Was it a space/height restriction? This is my first try at autos as well. I put 3 Dedoverde haze autos in a 6 site 13 gal hydro unit. Top feed. 600w lights. Using HPS now but started with MH until the calixes were really showing hard. In a 4x4x6.5 grow tent. Did you get your seeds from Humbolt? I did. Going to try and post a picture. I wasn't sure about autos but these ones I'm growing have me drooling like crazy. Mine have a seriously lemon smell. Especially if I touch the flowers at all. Does yours? If you're gonna grow autos you may want to try them in hydro. The tallest one on the left (if the picture loads) was started in the unit and the two on the right we're moved from a cloner/seed starter hydro unit. For sure I will be starting them all in the units they'll finish in from now on. Major difference. Had to slightly bend the main cola over on the big girl because she is as tall as the light. I'm embarrassed to say there is some nute burn damage. I read somewhere these are heavy eaters but in hydro they are definitely NOT! Maybe half strength with flora trio. Anyway, if I can't get the pics to post and you'd like to see mine, you can let me know and I can email them or something. image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Just for size comparison, I am 6 ft 1 inch tall and 320 lbs. I have very big hands and I think I have quite a bit of flowering time left. I'll get more pics for you soon in the day time. Note the upward angle on the one picture with my hand behind the cola. That's bent over and tied to the corner rod if my tent an still she's as tall as me!
I'm super excited to see what your final yield will be. I'll be following along with you. We can swap notes. If this smokes half as good as it smells I'll be growing it gain. I will try to get a picture of the stem on my big girl. It's mutant huge man.

Should've posted this a while ago, but my work picks up heavily in the summer and on top of that I had vacation and a phone that decided to take a shit on me.

Anyways, they're all dead and jarred now. Jack Herer died on July 2nd and for the last couple weeks was having the ISK method of just sunshine through a window as that fucker would not finish. Haven't smoked it yet as the rain here in CO is keeping the humidity high and making it hard to cure the weed.

CK1 and CK2 died like 7 days after the dedoverde haze.

CK1 started out as a heavy cougher smoke that didn't have much flavor just a funky smell. A couple weeks later she's a lot smoother and has a kind of sweet pine/skunk taste to her. She's a weird high though, she's definitely an indica but has a really low ceiling. After about 5 hits that's pretty much as high as your going to get on her, which is a nice little head buzz and a ease of tension on the body. The only exception is when you have been drinking. Drink like a 6 pack and smoke a bowl of her and you'll have that haze like head high.

CK2 was the biggest producer with the JH in second. She's a good morning/afternoon indica. Not too sleepy on her but really does a fair amount for mild aches and pains which is great since I work construction. Not much of a head high but does boost the mood a little bit. The more you smoke the lighter you feel, till a point then you just want to lay down and realize you don't want to do jack shit the rest of the day. Wouldn't call her much of a drinking weed as nothing really changes about it.

DH - #1 plant I would recommend to anyone to grow as even though she was a runt she did finish pretty much as advertised. The jar smells like lemons and imagine the taste of a hops in a hoppy beer but as a smell and combine them. She has that lemony/piney/slighty musky scent and was an easy bud to cure as she wasn't overly dense but the scent really just guided you along. She's a bit of a harsh smoke and I think that has to do more with the terpenes as they really get your lungs pretty good. I bet vaporizing her would be best but I only got my bong and some papers. The high on her is pretty good but you need to be careful. I often find my self distracted while smoking a bowl only to realize an hour has past by without me knowing. I use that to my advantage and smoke her before bed. She's great to mix with CK1+2 to get a little more head high without ending up like a zombie. With a couple beers in ya she's a bit more uppity like a Island sweet skunk or a sour diesel.

I'll update the JH later and am also going to make brownies with a mix of all 4 trim and popcorn buds.

The outdoor isn't a go this year but I hope to get some going next year for sure.

Can't upload any pictures of them near the end as the phone that has them all is now an expensive paper weight. I might take some bud shots of what I have left.

image.jpg Nice finish and review man. What was your yeild on the DVH? That's what I was growing too. I had three and they're all in jars now. Waiting for a good cure before I sample them. You hit the nail on the head about the smell. I agree totally. I did a real tight trim. Removed every sugar leaf I could for hash later. Ended up with 13 ounces of dried buds in jars. Pics don't do them justice I'm afraid. I am orally kong to grow them again soon. First pick is of one main cola. But most the branches looked like that too. Picks look to be posting in the wrong order and place but you get the idea.image.jpg
