Don't you hate how all the smart asses believe everything they hear? Don't you hate how they always somehow slip the "end of the world" in the conversation? Perhaps some things will change, But just because the mayans got lazy and didn't complete the calendar doesn't mean that we're all gonna die! What do you potheads think about this? :D Well, I'm going to get a joint and go out see all the people fail on 21st.

mayan calendar isnt incomplete. it is a cyclic calendar.

its all nonsense, people believing radical ideas based on something they dont really understand.

I have been amazed by the surge in popularity for all sorts of conspiracy ideations. It does not speak well for the intellectual vigor of the next generations, which probably means bad things for Western society in general. Something nasty is on the horizon, but I can't quite make it out. cn

Why are you amazed? Conspiracy theories have always been popular. It's just that more people are getting bored now, so they find more time to spend "revealing the secrets of our universe". The only thing I'm concerned about is masses of people starting riots in the streets. That's not the best way to start a new calendar cycle :D
Have you read that Terence McKenna is "predicting" all kinds of manure too? I have to say I'm kind of excitingly entertained, not really to see what happens, but to see how people react to it.

The longer till it happening the more time for someone to start believing it and finding "proof" it is really going to happen.

i'd imagine they'd act the same way they did on january 1st of 2000.. go on as usual and act like they never thought the world was going to end or w/e they said at the time.. that is until the next end of days in which they will say the sky is falling once again, like we are really going to believe them after the last 5 false starts, yet they forget how many times they have been proven wrong in the past and think that this time they must be right, only to fail again.. :D

The Millennium was a colossal parade of massively-parallel fail. They celebrated a full year early. cn

My prediction is, on that day the wind will be whipped into a frenzy and a great sound shall be heard throughout the land as religious leaders flip the pages in search of another hidden passage.
