Dealer fucked up - Should I be ecstatic or cautious?

So shrooms has been real hard to come by lately around here. but finally, one of the people i know got some shrooms. so i go to his place to pick up 9 grams worth. i arrive and after the first few minutes of me being there, he walks over to a cabinent, pauses for a few seconds, and does the whole "what the fuck was i just doing?" so i knew he was high at that point.

anyway, i ask him to measure out 3 bags, with 3 grams each (one for each of my friends), and while he is measuring, im just doing some small talk just cause i feel bad and dont want to make it seem like i only hang out with him because he deals drugs (which it kind of is, but whatever ). i dont know if its my talking that distracted him, but when i got back to my place, one of the saran wrapped shroom "bags" was considerably bigger than the others. i measure the two small ones, they come out at about 3-4 grams. i measure the big one, and its 21 grams! i dont know what the fuck he was doing.

so being the nice dude i am, i send him a text saying "hey, you gave me more than i paid for. i can give you the excess sometime." i was planning on still keeping a few extra grams before i gave them back, but he sends me a text saying "nah dude, keep em"

so im now sittin pretty with 30 grams of shrooms. i have no idea why he wouldnt take them back, so i dont know if he has enough money where he doesnt care, or he doesnt yet realize how much he gave me, or if he knows they are shitty mushrooms and he over charged.

do you guys think i got a sweet deal, or should i be cautious with this batch incase they are some bad shrooms?

i dunno if he truly realized how much he gave me. ill give him some time to clear his head incase he was really baked.

i sent him a text back saying "are you sure?" and he said "definitely. enjoy!" i have a class with him tomorrow, so if he mentions that he wants them back, ill probably just keep 4 or 5 grams and give the rest back...

Honesty is the best policy wait and see but it looks like you have some good karma paying you back....enjoy

Where i live shrooms are also hard to find sometimes, but when we do find them they are cheap. Nobody here ever pays more then $5.00 a gram for shrooms, zips usually go for about $110. To me it sounds like you would have over paid for 9 grams like you wanted, but in the end you got what you paid for.

how good of an eighth? mids go for about 40 here, and good stuff like blueberry can go upwards of 70-90 an eighth

Well you gave him the option, not once but twice, so you've done your part to be honest. If he said keep 'em, then keep 'em.

Wow i'm glad i don't live there!! Here i pay $25 for an 1/8th of good mids (sensimilla, different strains), $30-$35 for and 1/8th of death. Prices here are $50-$70 on average for a nice smokable quarter, paying these prices you will almost never find a seed in your bag.

I wouldn't worry about the quality, it sounds like you're familiar with the guy. Do what you're saying, that sounds right to me.

lol he just texted me this morning. he says he gave me about 15 grams too much. ill probably just package that up and give it back to him.

He probably weighed out the 3 bags, then gave you 2 of them, plus his bag by accident. He kept the wrong one and just realized it.

yup, but this goes to the thread starter.;.. if i were you i would give him like 6 grams back and say u ate the rest lol!! then hopefully you dont get ur ass beat but its worth a shot ya know

yeah the guy is a college student who goes to university of michigan with me. he isnt hardcore by any means, so i doubt id get my ass beat, but karma is a powerful thing

sell the excess! you can make a good 40 to 60 bucks an 8th(3.5 grams)

I would give back all the excess to him, but see if he wants to trip with you with a few grams of the stuff you gave back to him, if that makes sense. Tripping with an experienced person is always nice.

Where I'm at I can get them for $30 / 8th. They're good shrooms too. My friend got some other ones for $25 / 8th (5-8ths for $125) but supposedly they weren't quite as potent as the $30 / 8th ones. Maybe less caps and more stems? (Stems still have the psilocybin in them but maybe not quite as concentrated as the caps)
