Dealer Busted, Can Cops Come To Me?

I recently received random texts from my dealer asking me if I got busted (My phone was off I turned it on and got them all at once), then "Snitch u will get urs" and finally a "Yo *pd ha ha fuck u" (referring to calling the police department I'm assuming).

He hasn't responded to any texts, I didn't get busted or snitch on them, but my question is if he got busted and had my phone number in his phone and possibly even some texts could the cops search my house? What if he said to them that he sold to me?

I'm a bit paranoid worrying right now about the possibility of there being some "unjust street justice" for shit I didn't do, and worse police involvement...

I hope to get a quick response

Are you in the United States? Then what state of what country are you in? Law changes from place to place- even how zealous the authorities want to interpret and execute the given law of the land. Off the top of my Australian head though I would say you are mostly fine from the police. They could very well be thinking carefully about his numbers but they would be looking for his suppliers and also if he was big enough anyone else that bought off him to re-sell again. For one thing I don't think its likely for police to use their energy and time chasing up users and for a second thing the police have to hand their warrant application to someone such as a judge or justice of the peace to sign it and make it valid- so they have to be just as zealous in their pursuit for the law to come down on you. I think much more likely is that if this dude really believes you did it- not just sending random paranoid messages out to half his phone book, he is going to do something. I guess you could hope it's just talking shit about you.

I'm in NH, USA.

I didn't quite understand part of what you said (the part I quoted). I don't think he sent it to half his phone book (I'm assuming you mean his contacts in his phone..?), but he isn't responding to texts... And when you say you think he's going to do something, what do you mean by that?

well, technically they could. but it wouldn't be worth it really.

what you should do is let that guy kno that it wasn't you that snitched. most dealers i know wouldn't play around with that shit and if they know enough people it wouldn't be too hard to track you down, say if you have a phone with a contract with a major carrier.

i wouldn't go near that guy again. if he thinks you're a snitch.....

This....say nothing, know nothing..... play duuuuumb........ and tell that dealer hes trippin. Tell him, "whats ever you think i did, i didnt, you are making a mistake....sorry but if you REALLY got snitched on look elsewhere for reals, it wasnt me, someone else is the droid you are looking for"

Yeah, I think I'm just not going to go through this dealer anymore. He seems retarded.
Yeah, thats a given.
Nothing they can really do to you. They can't arrest you for being in his contacts list. What they CAN do (if they are way overzealous) is get a surveillance warrant and watch you like a hawk, Don't think that just because you're just a "little fish" you're OK. These guys are fishermen. They use little fish to get the big fish. They know that the further up the chain they go, the less likely it is that someone will "snitch". Sad fact is that the end user is gonna say "Fuck that. I ain't doing 10 years for buying a sack." (And the cops will convince him that he will!) And that end user WILL invariably sell out the dealer, who WILL invariably sell out the supplier, ad nauseum.

If you're in a big city, then you're probably OK. If you're in Mayberry, setting up surveillance on you will make Barneys decade.
