Hello all, I'm just here to tell you that, in all likelihood, there are a few DEA agents on our Forum. That's just me, but I'd be a little cautious....you never know what those sneaky bastards will do to get us arrested...

Do you think the DEA would go through much trouble to bust a semi-legal grow of less than 10x plants?

I think California should push back, our own state laws are not being recognized... I wish that we just said "ITS LEGAL NOW" and We used the dont ask dont tell policy ourselves.. remember the government invented the dont ask dont tell policy... I SAY ITS FULLY LEGAL NOW.. SINCE ITS NOT MEDICINAL. AM I RIGHT PEOPLE?

The feds arent wasting their time on here for personal or even semi-for profit grows of 10 or so plants by one person with a card donating to others with cards, etc.

They seem to be more interested with the guy growing 50+ plants growing strictly for commercial level profit. its really not worth the resources to busy one person with a few plants. Not to say they wouldn't make an example out of a few people but its not a realistic option when you talk about ALL growers under 215.

It sounds to me the more i read that they are going after those doing things illegally or big for profit mj businesses.

I see no problem with for-profit 215 businesses because well...it does take work and those working should be paid for their work.

I DO see a problem with those selling illegally, sending the bud out of state for profit, etc. anything illegal under 215 because they make it bad for the rest of the good people. So i don't knock the feds for that. they want to get rid of the bad seeds.

I dont think they should go after someone because they are generating too much money.

thats whats wrong with this whole picture. The state and the country are in debt. Big time. Instead of trying to rub out California's biggest industry why not tax it and fix what the banks and wall street fuk'd up...THE ECONOMY!

No instead lets spend MORE money getting rid of it. Yeah perfect sense guys. Good job. you definitely should be in office over me because you see im simple and thought if it makes money lets spread the wealth.. you geniuses figure since it makes money and could get us out of debt we should instead SPEND money to get rid of it. whoa man ur blowin my mind.

If the gov't had the slightest clue about what was really going on with something like what MMJ can do for us (the country) financially they would find ways to help the industry grow and profit off of it further than they could now.

It provides jobs (does that already but especially if a national MMJ program was adopted or something similar)

It would raise a tremendous amount of tax which could get the state/country out of debt etc.

As long as the scum is kept out of the industry it will flourish. The right business model needs to be accepted and they have to run with it. Someone wont shoot someone over $10 of mj anymore if its as easy to acquire a 6 pack or a pack of smokes.

just saying.

I think that a. It is perfectly sensible to assume that there are authorities logged into this site from time to time and that b. a said, they are not overly fussed about the small grow, but rather keeping an eye on anything rather large and extravagant.

Although i've always wondered what kind of view they take on the 10 plant grower running around teaching everyone their legal rihghts and how not to get busted etc, sure folk would rather not have "do gooders" like that about :D

If i had to venture a guess, I'd say DEA or other law enforcement don't prowl RIU or other forums regularly, actively seeking new targets. Rather I'd say they would only check us out if there was reason to believe an existing target posted, in which case they might look for incriminating evidence.

A friend of mine was the head of Vice for the cop shop for 11 years.
His words, No one is looking for you, but if someone tips us off first thing we do is go thru your trash. if we find something we start an investigation. So it all about tips and trash.

NO It is like you phone conversation. The moment you say obummer or gee hud or bom the conversation is recorded then is checked for validity or ??
So I am sure there are strings of nonsense and talk being looked at... but considering the source. C'mon they are probably perplexed we got out computers on. I mean as addictive and as mind numbing as Cannabis is, they gotta wonder how we even know how to type. LOL

Which makes perfect sense. The gov't/feds/fbi etc are VERY powerful but they don't have unlimited resources. They can only do so much. They wouldn't be very powerful if they actually dedicated some agents to busting personal grows on the internet. Pretty bad waste of man power.

Theres NO doubt that the gov't knows such forums exist. Im more than sure they frequent them from time to time as well. Find a big commercial style grow that has something in the pictures or registration info that tips them off as to who/where it is...bam its over for you. If i were a commercial grower i wouldn't be posting in forums. Then you ARE a target but your average joe is more than safe imo.

Who's really gonna take the time to figure out who you are, where you are, go down and arrest you for what? a few plants and/or a few oz's of bud.

I don't put anything in my trash. I compost every organic vegetable waste that comes out of my house and I don't put it on the street. It's on my private property and will never leave (it will go into the veggie garden on my property. I MIGHT lock my trashcans until the last minute, however.... I put them out when the trash truck comes.

If there are DEA agents on RIU so what, just dont put yourself in a situation to do any transactions with anyone online, they are sneak little shi#@ts but plausible deniability is on your side unless you get stupid.

I'm not medical, but when I start my grow I'm not gonna sell it......it's just gonna be for me and my buddies, so I doubt they'd ever find me.
