Day 66 of flowering. No microscope.

In four days I hit 10 weeks since I saw the white hairs. The plants look done to me but I have read over and over I have to check the trichomes to be sure. The microscope I have is all scratched up and I cant see hardly anything.

I can see the trichomes on the pistils and leaves but I cant see a color.

Is there anyway to tell without a decent jewlers loupe?

when the red hairs recede your plants are ready
for harvest. not a need to check trichomes.

I would look at how long the strain takes usually then when looking at it makes me want to take a bite out of it (along the whole branch that gets good light above the more airy ones)I'd cut it. No strain info? Just second part. Some strains keep going and going but the rest of the branch is ripe. That can lead to pollen sacks eventually. The trichomes develope over time after cut. I cut mine at cloudy and they are around 30% amber after curing.

If you have a really good digital camera you can take a close-up shot and blow it up.
