Day 29 Flowerin Pics-White Widow and Durban Poison

Greetings all,

It's been auite a while since I have posted, I got really frustrated with my last strain which turned out to be a guaranteed hermaphrodite every time. I changed my setup a bit and got all new strains and things are looking better than ever before. This marks one year since I have started growing-still so much more to learn...

Yesterday was 4 weeks into flowering 2 Durban Poisons, 1 White Widow, and 2 Afghani Dwarves. The pic of all 3 in the tub was from week 1. This is the first time with Durban Poison for me, and I love it so far. It is a very fruity smelling dense bud, not as much crystals as the WW but what strain does?? The WW already looks like someone dumped sugar all over it, not surprising if you know this strain! I have more of both waiting in the wings in addition to Cheese, Grapefruit Diesel, and Skywalker. It's day 50 and time to cut and dry. This is about the one-year mark since I have been growing seriously and the Durban Poison is so far the best I have ever grown. Nice hard nugs with lots of trichomes and a dense fruity smell. I cut a small top about a week ago to try a sample and it was amazing. Nice fruity taste at first and a very earthy kushy aftertaste.

My next grow will be dedicated to mostly this strain, it is what I have been looking for over the last year!!

All the pics were taken today, before and after cutting and trimming. 2 Durban Poisons and 1 White Widow, looks like about a 3-4 ounce yield and I'm stoked!!:peace:

Thanks a lot, appreciate the kind words. I've decided to not do any more WW indoors, going to concentrate on the Durban Poison. WW is an incredible outdoor plant, indoors it can be a crap shoot. DP is the one I have been looking for, I have 2 nice mommas in veg right now, gonna clone the hell out of them and do about 3/4 of my next grow on just that.:peace:

Naw, some of the leaves close to the buds got real yellow and the small ones look a bit like nanners. I did a double-take myself on a couple of the buds too, I've had those damn things in my grow before and had to cut them out early.

I've been growing for one year almost exactly now and this is the best turnout I've ever had. 1 year of experience has added an incredible amount of growing knowledge, and I can see there is still so much more to learn-I love this shit!!

the durban plant looks wayyyy different from typical durban poison that i'm used to. i've never seen one that was thick and bushy. where did you get this strain? are you sure it's durban poison? the buds look similar, but the plant structure doesn't.

A good friend ordered several strains from an online site and got 5 durban poison seeds as a "free gift" for ordering a bunch of other stuff. It might not be pure DP, but I also manage the plant growth very early in the veg cycle to get it to grow bushy.

I'm no expert when it comes to looking at a picture and figuring out what strain a particular plant is, all I know is this is the best bud I have grown yet and I'm gonna grow a shitload of it, DP or not.

I don't go by guidelines, recommendations or books when it comes to determining when to harvest. The ONLY way is to examine the trichomes with magnification and harvest when they are at the peak of ripeness.

What if it's not pure WW or DP?? I don't know for sure what the hell I've got I just grow it and harvest when it is time, not by the book.:)

Hey skunk Ive been growing for like 6 months finally professional setup and this is all I do anymore is learn about this shit I love it too. Ive learned so freaken muchabout growing in that little amount of time its crazy. Rite on bro keep it real.

Wow, thanks for all the comments! I love being able to share, you can't just invite everyone in and go "Look what I did!" so thanks to all that commented.

Here's where things are after drying for a few days. Shrinkage has taken its toll, not totally dry yet but not going to shrink anymore. Sampling has also taken its toll, several of the popcorn buds on the tray were gladly smoked:joint: Another 24-48 hours and it will go into jars to cure.

For not being competely dry and not being cured at all, I have to say it's some pretty fine smoke. The Durban Poison has a distinctly fruity smell and initial taste, but finishes with a nice earthy kush flavor:weed: I can't wait to see how it is after curing for a couple of weeks, I'll put up some pics of it in the jars and find a way to weigh it (don't have a scale) so I can post the final yeild-minus a few tasty doobs here and there!:peace:

Orite Bro how ya doin? Been upto much? Ive hammered the NL just recently and done some hardcore bondage cuz she got too about 4ft tall lol ya should nip over n check it out think ull be quite impressed!
