Dave's 2nd Grow - LSD in Bubble/DWC with Fogger

The tote & sprinkler were good, but the real problem was bogus nutrient. That's what killed my 2 plants, not the other stuff. But I thought the fogger would work even better than a sprinkler for the reasons I described above. If the roots in the res bulk up and rise out of the water, then there will be more of them exposed to the fog. I want to experiment with that. My air pump is about maxed out and this grow cabinet is in our bedroom closet where my wife has to hear it while trying to sleep. So I can't add more air than I have making bubbles. I think that forces me to trust in the fog. I'm not planning to lower the water level, just considering whether to prop up the roots higher so more of them will be exposed to fog. Eager to see what happens.
I see about the location issue. Hey, props to your wife for even sleeping next to one air pump. Gotcha. Yeah, I see why you went the fog route. It's also a lot less noise and mess than sprinklers (powered by yet another humming pump) spraying water everywhere in your closet! Lol.

Damn, sorry to hear about your nute disaster. As an obsessive hydro grower, that really stings.

Yeah, You'll get good results by hitting more naked root with smoke. It's really too bad noise is an issue for you, but I think you've worked out a good alternative plan. Best of luck. I'm pulling for you.

Switched to the flowering phase last Saturday. These photos I took Monday evening:

The leaves are beautiful. I just hope I get enough bud from this plant. I should have topped it when it was still young. Anyway, it's beginning to really give off a nice skunky odor. I love that smell.

Well, for me anyway, I always judge an upright grow by the lowest branches. I see some impressive upward development and some thickness in them lowest branches. Their tops are almost level with the canopy and the fact that they're coming out so low at the base of the main stalk (which is already impressively thick) is also an indication of a properly grown plant IMO. Bravo. Those leaves are massive solar panels too, just drinking that light.

That plant reminds me of a plant I grew a few grows ago. Towards the end, if all goes as planned, it should have that candelabra look, the candles being massive donkey dix of course. BEST.

Indeed, that smell is part of the reason we try so hard. ;-)

And i'm really liking the concept i've been seeing quite a bit of lately. Growing in a rubbermaid style tote for a single plant. Giving it the room and space it needs to stretch its roots out and grow quite large. It's a trip with soil though, cause you could use 2 full bags of FFOF in 1 tote alone....Now THAT's some root space.

That would be GREAT! I'm dying to see some buds finally.

I did a little more reading on LSD. Because of its cross sources (Mazar and Skunk#1), I'm very interested to see what your nuggage is gonna look like.

Edit:
Your plant looks strong. You'll get some nice smoke I'm sure.

I christen thee... Natalie Skunkman:

Natalie smells like a cross between skunk and rotten cabbage. Oddly enough, I feel happy every time I get a whiff of her pungent scent.

Hey, well willya lookit that? Natalie is sure spreading her wings. Nicely done, dude. She's lookin' strong.

edit: Oh, and BTW, I'm loving the squat stature of that pheno you're workin' with. That main stalk reminds me of one of my own... You should be proud of that indeed using a quiet fogger.

Today my plant (Natalie) is just starting her 2nd week of the flowering phase. Haven't posted today's pics yet, but later tonight. Natalie is a bit over 20" tall now and about 36" wide. This is only my first grow where I've gotten this far. (I tried before, but the plant died early on.) So I don't know how much bud I'll get off of her. I'm hoping a few ounces at least. I promised to give some friends some and will keep the rest.

Good luck to you! Do you have a grow journal here?

Oh, for some reason I felt you posted the last pics as day 4 of flowering, phewww lol, I thought I was way behind in terms of size. I am now on day 5. This is my first grow. I dont have a journal going but I'll attach a pic of my grow, they're all topped. the one in the middle is the LSD.

They look really good to me! Hard to tell how tall they are from that angle. I kind of wish that I hadn't let mine get as tall as she is, because I'm worried that she'll outgrow the height of my cabinet. I grew her for just over a month before switching to the flowering phase. How long did you grow yours before switching?
