I dont think there is anything wrong with leaving the door open during light hours as long as the room your tent is in is pretty clean and doesnt have mold or bugs or something, your plants are just a week behind mine, I just transplanted a couple of the Master kush myself, you can check out the link in my signature for pics, I got a nice shot of how well developed the roots where at day 15 and my cups look a little bigger so yours may be ready to transplant soon

I've just checked it out you had a lot of roots in there man! I think my girls are a while off yet, going to wait for them to become a bit sturdier before I transplant!

So I've decided to wait a few more days to transplant, I checked all the roots and they're only just showing on the inside of the cup so I've got a little longer!

Quick question involving pot size... I've just seen my final pots are 35L (just over 7 gal). I have enough soil to fill them but will I come across any problems if I grow in 7 gal instead of say 5 gal? I know they'll have the potential to outgrow my tent but I can keep an eye on the size and flip them if they look like they're gonna get too big!

7 gal seems like a waste of soil for that many plants under a 400w, just got to transplant from a 5 gallon or come up with a way to water properly or you may have "overpotting" problems that can lead to excessive moisture and in turn damage the roots , the roots can't reach the wet soil so it just stands, in short , 7 gal is fine if you water accordingly, you can grow 5 foot plants with 5 gal buckets easy

Yeah I'm thinking I might just stick with 5 gal pots, I've got enough soil left over from the demise of MK#1 but I don't wanna risk root for etc.

Cheers dude!

Hey guys sorry it's been a while I've been mad busy! Didn't realise it was day 9 last time I posted!

Today is day 17 and boy have they grown! The holy grail and the incredible bulk are growing a lot better than the 2 master Kush but alls looking good! Transplanted into the 5 gal pots and have just watered with 3/4 strength nutes (why they're looking a little droopy) but I've had no issues so far! I've just attempted to FIM above the 4th node of the IB and HG but I think I might have taken a little too much off so could turn out to be a top!

Temps seem to be around 19c at night and 24-26c during the day

Apologies for the quality of the photos I'm using my shitty camera phone

Incredible Bulk looking good, getting some real nice tight node spacing on her :)

Holy Grail looking good also! hope she produces some nice smoke don't know anything about the strain still! Could be holy grail Kush as she's looking quite indica imo
image.jpg

MK #2 leaf in the bottom left looks a bit yellow but it's not!
image.jpg

MK #3 looking good, fan leaves seem to have strap out a lot which is doing good for the secondary branches on each node (don't know what they're called)

And finally a shot of all the girls together!

Thanks for checking in!

Till next time,

looking great, what size are those pots? I been debating on getting some fabric pots
They're 30L so about 6.5 gallon, I've only filled them with about 5 gallons of soil though! they dry out a lot faster imo- I over watered a bit the other day and the plants seemed to perk back up really quick which I guess is a good thing!

So I'm fairly sure I FIMed/topped wrong on the HG and IB (if that's possible lol). Haven't seen any new growth since but it could be because I peeled back the new fan leaves then made the cut? So the new nodes haven't had time to start growing yet. I'm probably just being impatient but some opinions would be really helpful!

This is the cut on the IB, the point where the new nodes should be coming In Hasn't seen any growth
image.jpg

Same again with the HG
image.jpg

And finally, I had a second attempt at FIM'ing the MK #3 and just plainly topped the MK #2

Better looking FIM on the MK #3
image.jpg

And the topped MK #2, looks to be all good :)
image.jpg

Any second opinions would be massively appreciated!

love the detail of that last picture :blsmoke:

Yo guys! Sorry I've not been updating much I've been crazy busy with work! So here's little update without any photos (I'm away till Sunday)....

The girls seem to be growing well, the FIM seemed to work on the holy grail but not on the bulk or MK#3
Well I've learnt my lesson and just topped them both near the new shoot growth, won't be trying the FIM till I've got more grows under my belt haha.

The MK#2 has reacted great to the topping and has 2 main stems showing!

Looks like it's only set me back a few days and I was planning a long veg anyway (till around late January) so it's not bothered me too much! Hope you guys are good I'll update some pics when I get chance

Day 27 update

Really happy with the progress so far! They've really bushed out and I already have roughly 4 main stems on each plant! Had a bit of a disaster with the FIM'ing somehow :wall: But it looks like I got there I the end with the topping! A couple of the girls are showing slight signs of mute burn (either that or N deficiency) but tomorrow they'll be watered with regular tap water so should provide a little flush!

I've ordered some ph-perfect B-52 as I've heard nothing but good things, will be looking at bloom nutes over the coming months- I'm thinking of running the AN Hobbyist package with a few extras from the expert and pro packages.... We shall see what the funds allow!

On to the pictures:

As always any comments/suggestions will be great fully received! I'll try update a bit more frequently from now on...

Peace bongsmilie

Day 34 update:

Not much to report, growth is going well- seems to have slowed down in the incredible bulk a bit but I'm sure she'll pick up again soon! Topped a few of the nodes a few days ago and tried a bit of lst but I'm gonna give that a proper go in a few weeks...

The next week or two will be about making my girls as happy as possible which means no high stress training or strong nutes- hopefully give then some time to recover a but lol

Pictures to follow....

Both of the Kush plants seem to always look droopy just before lights off then fine again at lights on- anyone know why this could be?

Done a little bit of reading and looks like it could be a few things:

-Too much/little water
-light too close
-nutrient lockout
-certain strains droop during the day cycle when vegging with a hps (???)

Not sure what it could be as I watered yesterday with no sign of overwatering, I haven't moved the lights in a while but the bulk and HG are both about 2/3 inches taller so I doubt it's that and I haven't been piling in the nutrients either... Which leaves the bizarre fact that some strains droop with a hps?! Don't know if I believe it so I'm going to try and dial in my system a bit more!

On another note I've managed to get my hands on "growing elite marijuana" by Ryan Riley and I'd be happy to share if anyone wants to private message me :)

'Till next time :joint:

all 3 of my Master Kush have the same issue with a bit of "drooping/withered look" but stay a healthy green, they seem to be growing at the same rate as the rest of my plants which are all perfectly healthy, it might be strain related, since we probly got the same batch of seeds, they might just not like soil idk, ill have some pictures in a day or so when I transplant, but I have flushed with cal mag.....nothing....., then a healthy dose of furts and still nothing, same look with a steady rate of growth

Hey guys let me introduce you to my first indoor grow!

I will be running a 400w hps in my 4x4 grow tent- for my growing medium I am using multipurpose compost from my local garden centre with added perlite (soil : perlite is 3:1). I hope to be running AN Sensi grow and bloom two part but I still need to order them!

The seeds have just been placed in soil having been soaked for 24hrs in plain water then placed in moist paper towels for another 2 days. Below is a picture of my current setup, the bulb you see is my 105w CFL which I am planning on using for the first few weeks of veg- do you guys think this will be enough? I was also thinking of supplementing my 400w bulb with the 105w throughout the grow what do you reckon?

Growing three strains:

-1 x Incredible Bulk
-3 x Master Kush
-1 x Holy Grail 69 (free seed)

Hopefully I've covered everything, I look forward to sharing my journey with you! :bigjoint:

Congratulations, it's a weed:) cute li'l buggers. As the other poster pointed out, a few more watts wouldn't hurt. I'm doing a grow and posting down in Club 600. I just added a third 40w 4ft fl shop-light. I like to keep them from stretching too much.

Ahh that's good to know I suppose! Such a strange thing for a strain to do but it's unlikely to be a coincidence if it's the same strain- mine seen to be growing well too, I look forward to see how youre getting on! :weed:

I was just looking at the Master Kush number 3 and it looked like she had perfect geometry for super cropping so I've given it a go and I'm real happy with the results- looks like I might get 8 nice even main tops off her!
