Darkness anf Flowering

I have a question about the total dark period of 12/12. Does anyone know why does it have to be total darkness? In an outdoor grow you would have residual light from the moon or far away objects so why would it need to be total darkness in indoor?

I also ask cause my wife went in my grow room during dark time tonight. She didnt turn on any lights and she made sure to turn off all the lights in the adjoining room before opening the door. Any issue i might have?

i might get a divorce after she opened the door on my babies.

IDK, that's been a question in the back of my mind, but give her at least one chance. LOL
Be happy, neither of my two wives would have even been smart enough to say 'yes' if I asked them "did you turn off the lights in the next room first".

I've often ask myself that and I've been told that the reason outdoor plants are in total darkness is because moonlight does not have the proper spectrum ( blue light or red light ) to intefere with darkness period.

I go into my grow room a couple times during the evening for a couple minutes here or there, I turn on the lamp in the far corner of the room (no direct light but it certainly isnt dark). And I have NEVER had any issues. A little light for 2 minutes here or there isnt gonna throw them into confusion (at least its never been an issue for me). I wouldnt worry about it...its a very resilient plant...:peace:
