Dark period during flowering

Hey I was wondering how light proof are these grow tents?
I just bought one of eBay with the Mylar inside.
Looks pretty light proof to me only concern is the flap vents at the bottom, when my exhaust is on it causes a slight negavite pressure that cause the vents to suck in air and I can see some light leak when this occurs. Is this anything worry about? My plants have been in flower for about 4 weeks now and the have started to show white hairs all over but I just don't want to interupt their dark period.my lights are off during the day, will indirect light from a distant window cause any proplem? I mean to me is pretty dark in there from just peeking threw the tent looks pretty dark in there.
Any suggestions advice for a fellow first time grower??

Are you exhausting for heat or odor? You could put your exhaust on the same timer as your lights and then it wouldnt be an problem. If its odor you are worried about then if you can keep the exhaust time down to only a few minutes at a time max, then it wont be a problem at all.

Well what I been doing is exhausting only when my lights are on which are at night in the day time it's off so the negative pressure isn't there. Howeever I would like my fan on 24/7 for healthier plants.

I like to run my light in the day to help with that prob i run mine from 6am to 12 mid and flower 6am to 6pm but if u could get in it and check if there is no light beaming in u good, and try to put dark sheet up if u can that will also help, good luck bro!!!!!!

if you are really concered just climb in the tent and have someone zip it closed. i found a few small leaks around some stiching so i just taped them up from the inside.

I built my own for a few bucks its 6 x 3 feet its awesome, and i velcroed the bottom and doors and sides so they come off easily if i need them to
