So, apparently my indoor/outdoor thermometer I keep on the oustide of my grow chamber was set to display the data for outside of the grow chamber, where the display was at. I only noticed this today after opening up my chamber to see a 13" tall plant fully wilted. The stems look strong, maybe was close to dry, but it had to be temp. Once I looked closer, found the switch, I realized my error. This was about 11 hours into an otherwise normal day, when I noticed this. I had just received a few new clip on fans, I installed two of those. I also have a variable fan control, I cranked that to the max. I also removed a few bulbs just to be safe (down to 22,200 lumens per sf now from 29,600).

Arrrrrrgghhh!!!!

P.S. After I fixed this issue, took my kid to his tball game, then checked the sensor for it's max reading, it was 121 degrees! It hit friggin 121 in that chamber today, poor girl, I would feel ill too...

I have seen 135 degrees on the display 30 minutes after a complete shutdown except for the ventilation. The heat set the fire alarm off that was outside the room, down at the other end of the hallway. Scorched a few leaves and wallpaper let go on the walls in places. I was away at the time, just arriving home a day early just by luck, I guess!! It wasn't long before I had a high heat shutdown added to the grow room, it can be set to any temp and restart time can be set up to 30min or indefinitely.

Hrmm. That's a good idea. Not really worried about fire, my grow box is sealed pretty well, but keepin my plant alive is my goal. I will have to investigate a shut down like you mention.
