I guess you are growing outdoors,if so simply build a small wall made of rocks you find on location this encourages lizards to move in and they love grasshoppers.

You can olso pickup a greenmantis and put it in your plants they usually move arround but are deadly predators to grasshoppers they can whipe out an entier familly in a day.

Another solution is to use tape (gaffer,heavy duty stuff last longer) just put a few strips arround the main stem at variable hights sticky side out.You'll find lots of these little buggers or at least their legs.
