Cyclic Temperature Fluctuation

Here's the Scoop, I'm running an open hood CMH/HPS light, and have changed my ventilation to a primarily cold air intake system for cooling my 3'x5' box, and I have a WILLHI temp controller with high / low limits and corded temp sensor.

Is it better to run 1 set temperature perfectly, or run where it fluctuates between 75/85 degrees? Benefit or Stress?

The benefit to a little wider gap in the fan kicking on and off so you don't tax the life out of the fan, but I'd say I would expect to be impacting the life of the fan.

A 10 degree swing isnt a big deal...i would think. Outdoors that happens quite naturally between sun and cloud...etc....

But if it is a 10 deg swing every 1/2 hour or so... i dunno...
