CXB3590CB vs CD

Hey guys,

I've been reading up here for a while and am interested in building a test module for a larger flower room (6x12). I want to order all the pricey parts through mouser for simplicity's sake. Is it ok to go with the CB module from them? I just think it's simpler ordering through Mouser than dealing with the large shipping costs from China, etc.

4 x CXB 3590 3000k (CXB3590-0000-000R0HCB30G)

I obviously need to read up a lot more and order in quite a bit of doo-dads and bits. Just wanted to get your opinion on 3000k CB vs 3500k CD and try to get these parts in.

Thanks ya'll for your time and expertise.

Could you explain why Kingbrite has "better" parts?
I thought Mouser had the largest BIN selection without working directly with the manufacturer??

Sorry it was a wrong choice of word...I am french!
It is just cheaper...48.50 $ for cxb 3590
Cxa 3070 28.50 $ (cxb 38.50 $)
It is way more expensive for me since as a EU resident I pay more in mouser then US resident (30% more!)
Have a great day ★

The CXA 3070 AD produces more lumens than the more expensive CXB 3070 AB.

not trying to flaunt how much $ i spent on this shit. but here is an actual invoice from Kingbrite for cxb3590 with paypal and shipping charges to the USA. It might be of value to someone...

cxb3590 budget.png

most of the $70 shipping was for the heavy ass lenses. it would have been $30 ish for just cobs with no heavy drivers or lenses. This would put the landed (US) cost of a cxb3590 from kingbrite at just under $50 each.

Well guys, I was able to successfully build my light! It's unbelievably good! Thanks a billion to Growmau5 and of course Supra. Ya'll have given me the inspiration and hashtag passion.
:fire:

Well here are my lights. I want to rework and clean up the wiring some, suggestions welcome.

Also, it seems the glass covers hold a lot of heat onto the LED chips. Is this an issue?

:peace:

I am new to lenses and only running at 700ma, so I cannot offer advice based on experience yet. However, I have seen some diyers suggest putting a small washer in between the lens and heatsink to allow the LES to vent. Kind of negates the water resistance of the lens. But as long as you arent spraying it with a garden hose, I dont see an issue.

@sooperb check this build out yo.

Ya... I think I might build them without lenses now. :-/ I really don't like all that heat suffocating the chip. hm...
