CXB3590 DIY Build and Grow

i bought 20 cxb .i will have 5 total bars with 4 cobs per bar.i keep changing how i am going to use them.the only way i can use them right now will be either 2 or 3 bars over a horizontal scrog in one of my flower cabinets.the cabinets are 4 foot by 4 foot by 6 foot high.i normally run 2 600 hps in each cabinet with 3 plants tied to the walls and 1 plant on a rack that swings out from the doorway.there is a 8 inch carbon filter at the top with a 8 inch fan.there isnt enough room in the cabinet to try using the bars vertically.that s how i normally grow.this cabinet will be cut down by next weekend and i can set it up with a 4 plant horizontal scrog with 2 or three of my 4 cob bars in it

Man that is a killer setup. Can't wait to see the cobs in there.

I am learning bro. What HS and how do I ground it? I will post all parts and the build guide here. The goal is to make it a very easy process for anyone to do. I appreciate any input you have.

Depends on your design ...

but wiring your heatsink to the ground/earth wire of the ac side of your driver is a good idea with High voltage drivers.

Imagine in a couple of years something goes a little loose, your light may look like nothing is wrong (still working) .. until you touch it and get stung ..

I'm grounding my ELG-150's .. better safe than sorry .. or dead ;)

the 4 cob bar in my veg is running between 31 and 36 degrees c on the heat sinks.i have 4 10 inch heat sink usa profiles cut at 5 inch length with 1/4 inch aluminium bars making the light bar up.the next set of lights i build will be 1 44 inch 5.88 profile with 4 cobs on each heat sink.i will use the meanwells next time also just because wiring 1 driver per cob makes a clean set up hard to do.i do have each of my drivers grounded and the power cord also grounded.

Hi,how do u ground elg?sins it doesn't have a grounding on the ac side,it's only live and natural. Can u get the grounding frome the wall plug?I think u can...have u done it already ? Can u post a picture pleas?

from the hlg ac side u need to connect the ground wire to the plug and also a wire that goes to the sink and connect to it,using a screw and a ring like this kind .

Is this the real true way to ground?
Green wire to the wall ground, and also running another wire inline splice, "T" off, to the heatsink screwed down to the ring connector? Grounded twice?
