Cutting Clones While in Flowering Stage

I am curious to whether or not you can cut clones while you have a plant in the 12/12 flowering stage? If so how long into flowering is acceptable? And are there any other precautions I should take if I were to do it while in flowering.

You can cut a clone off at anytime in flower.Alot of people dont recommend it but it can be done.If i cut clones while my plant is in flower i usually cut them as soon as they show sex.Which should be 3 weeks the longest.I havent exp. any problems yet.

I've taken cuttings while plants where in flower before. Some people who regularly cut in flower say to wait until week 2 of flower.I use Rapid Rooters but no matter what you use there is a science to it.The rule of thumb is to PH the cube or whatever to 5.0.That is so the plant is not absorbing nitrogen at that time because it tends to impede rooting. The other rule is that you use a mild nutrient solution on the plants in a spray[foliar] bottle, for spraying the cuttings with food which they absorb at 75-85f.Keep a clear dome and humidify and before long you will be the man.:bigjoint:
Oh PS. It will take a while of 18/6 light cycle to reveg the cuttings but be patient they will be back around unless they are autoflowering.:wall:

can you keep the clone on a 12/12 light schedule or does it have to reveg?
Yeah you can.Try to lollipop it or something. The wind outdoors will make the stalk thick and the bud bigger.I usually put them in 5 gal pots right away so the root systems are huge. That way the plant is bigger and the buds are fatter.Ya got to have a fan or real wind to get a decent size harvest.:bigjoint:

See i thought you would be able to but peeps kept telling me they have to be on 12/12. My only worry was that if the plant was already at 12/12 would putting a clipping into 18/6 cause that clone/clipping to become a hermie. My idea was, was to wait until they showed sex. That way I could clone my females right away and destroy my males. I am use to working with only female plants/clones so I wasnt sure if the whole cutting while in flower would work. I just dont want my clones to go hermie on me by getting switched back to 18/6.

they need to go back to 18/6 to develop a root system, then onto 12/12, it's very unlikely they will turn hermie

this question has been asked many times and the consensus is that they need to reveg

If you're plant hermie's from that little of stress you dont need that breed anyway. You have got to put them on 18/6 or 24 hrs or it will flower and be a dwarf.

recently i took an ak47 clone that was 5 weeks into flower and its been under 24/0 since. It looks funny because new growth came out the bud and looks like cabbage..But its lookin good now and im cutting clones in a week or two to have that strain around
