Cutting a "Test Bud"?

I did this the other week... plant didn't seem to mind

yes you can cut a bud or 2 off it is not a big deal, some guys harvest the cola before the rest of the plant.

I cut buds for testing from the middle of the plant, at some point the plant does object. At the tipping point the plant sucks in the hairs and the buds mature without the full weight of oil. If I cut more than a fifth of the plant this happens.

But by pulling a bud every two days I find the best harvest day and what it looks like, then the next harvest gets almost perfect timing.

I consider pulling an early bud just to get high a waste, the bud is still growing and will be bigger and better if you just wait.

total rookie move, any GOOD grower would NEVER do such a thing, but that's why I say, for every 100 growers 5 know what there doing.

And I say:

If the plant has a bud on top and the bud gets you high, the plant was grown correctly, the rest is mere detail.

Let us change this thread to "philosophy of growing attitudes" and totally hijack it while vaguely insulting 95% of the readers. That is really helpfull.
