Get a par meter (licor, Apogee, Hydrofarm, etc) to test your lighting. Balancing available light power over the total growing area (both horizontal and vertical) is an important factor to improve plant growth and a must to improve electrical efficiency.
Yeah, thanks for the input. If you look closer, you can se that over the taller plants, we have already remove them. We have an Apogee to check umoles.

good thread thanks

7000w flower over how many sq ft?
The room in total must have more than a 170 sq feet, but he works in rows of 4feet by 13.2 feet. Forming a "G"shape.

How uniform are the readings throughout the room? 1300 at 18" gives you lots of room to balance.

After 18" do you happen to know at what point it drops to 400? From that height on up directly exposed plant surfaces should have the best growth potential.

I have to get that info later with the meter, it's pretty even, we loose some at the walls obviously.

So this is yet ANOTHER bar design? Sick man!
Yes, I will post more during the next days...

I love this setup.... 24 cobs in a 4x8 tent. 1400mA 1300W at the wall. You can see now the cooling is off. Only needed in very hot days. No AC, passive. It even helps lowering the humidity inside the tent. These are 2 gallon pots with a simple drip system. Using Plant Prod 7-11-27, with Cal N (they already have Mag in their formula), and some microbial tea from start to finish. This is the first run of this setup, starting week 3, time to throw a net over them. They are looking really heathy, apart from some light bleach. They stretched and almost hit the bars. Just raised them to 21"
.
Based on a 4x4 = Total PPF: 1381.05
Based on a 4x4 = PPFD based on canopy area: 923.58

how did i miss this massive cob grow, nice damn setup and grow man.how many cob watts in here and hows that minisplit handle it ?
Cob power watts: 497, per 4x4, now the room is in full power and days are hot and humid, so he installed two 9.000 BTU ACs, plus a big ass DEHU, we try to keep the temps bellow 80 over the canopy.

Hey so i am looking for guidance in setting up a 100'x50' grow room using cob led's. This would be a new room built just for this on my land. Can you help me get a ballpark figure for what I would be expecting to build out and equip this room the right way? Thanks

Hey Guys, I'll be posting pictures and info about custom LED gardens I have designed over the past year for friends, also, new projects I hope to discuss with you as we build.

I have been following the technology for quite some time now, and last year I started building some custom LED setups requested by friends that liked my DIY gear, it has now become almost a full time thing.

So here is the first setup I made this year for a friend. He has a 7000W flower room plus Veg room with another 3000W. He is using no AC and temps are around 28C with CO2, that being the highest temp reached so far.

These bars have 4 36V CXB3590s @ 1.8 mA... active cooling. Very simple setup. Hitting +o- 900 micro moles @ 18"/ center of the row.

He has a range of OGs going @ week 3 flower, StarKiller OG, 9 Pound Hammer, RKS and OG Kush, Budha Cheese and Blue Cheese.
Is it a sealed room and what time of year was this rum summer or winter? Hard to believe no AC with Co2. Looks great!

Sure, but I'll suggest you create a thread here so everybody can give their input.
