Current Marijuana Strains Vs Hippie Shwag

No offense to any hippies on this thread, but I read that marijuana of today is 3 times stronger than it was in their golden years. Despite it being stronger, it actually has less medical properties compared to weed from the past. I was wondering if there were any people out there who smoked weed in the 70's or 80's can confirm these new studies.

Was too stoned to remember

sometimes it's three times stronger, sometimes ten times stronger, sometimes not any stronger, it all depends on who writes the article and how shocking they want it to sound.

Not that it actually matters very much, if weed in the 70's wasn't as potent, then everybody had a lower tolerance and got high anyway.
but I think the "now vs then" debate is totally irrelevant. There's just too much weed in the world for those types of generalizations. Weed in Mexico was probably better in the 70's, but indoor weed in the US probably sucked a lot more in general, especially because CFLs weren't really available til the 90's, and I'd guess that there weren't very many books being sold about how to do something 100% illegal everywhere in the world. my guess is that like 90% of new growers in their first two days of research learn what the word "ballast" means for the first time.

but I dunno, I'm 25 years old, I wasn't around then. I know pre-98 bubba always gets me pretty good

Idk I'm 25 and I smoked some stuff with a relative he had stored in a freezer since the late 70s called Tie stick (no shit it was literally tied to a stick lol)

I've been to the canabis cup in Colorado and in Amsterdam

I've never been as high as I was off the two joints I smoked that day ever again in life

And I had a huge tolerance at the time currently smoking chemdog

Speaking of hippies lol the same relative gave me something called a green pyramid and that's exactly what it looked like it made me laugh until the point of exhaustion at the dumbest things or literally nothing at all for about 6-8 hours any older members know what this substance would of been? I've thought acid for a long time but it wasn't visuals it literally made everything funny / painfully enjoyable if u get what I'm saying.

Yeah seeds never used to matter now people pay out the ass so everyone's worried about that .4 throughout the bag in weight >.< lol for some reason status quo states bud wih seeds are lesser which isn't true at all seeds have nothing to do with potency as far as I know but yeah Thai stick slapped me the fuck around and told me I had never smoked weed before after smoking for around 8-10 years at that point lol

This is the latest Reefer Madness propaganda used by the Canadian govt. The gateway theory has been disproven, the cooked brain cell theory has been disproved, the addiction theory as well. This is all they got? Spent $7 million running these ads a couple months back. How hypocritical are we to think we made this plant that has been on earth for thousands of years stronger in the last 25? If pot is better its because growers, access to seeds and equipment have gotten better.
My best smoke? 1979 a Jamacian I worked with at a tree farm mailed me some Lambsbreath. Best smoke ever hands down

When I was in high school ( late 70s to 80 ) we got real Colombian / Acapulco gold.
And it was in the middle of nowhere. ( Colorado )
I don't think I ever saw schwag until I moved after graduation.
Stuff was the bomb.

I didn't even know what pot looked like when I moved back to states.( mid 70s )..in Germany all we smoked was palm hash ( We would trade with the guys from the German school for hash...cigs, Levis etc )
Got back to the states and bought my first bag of weed...looked at it and was like WTF is this ? lol
