Curing question

No burping after the initial dry. Theoretically. I still cop a feel on them for the first couple cycles to be safe.

I don't add the Boveda packs until the burp process is complete in about a week. You have to get the moisture to draw out of the center of the bud. Nothing does this better than the burps (popping the lids on a 12/12 schedule)

Maybe I'm get 5-6 months out of the Boveda packs because they are just keep the environment stabilized instead of trying to suck the moisture out of the bud?

Anyway, that's what I'm doing.

If you havn't seen or heard of Boveda humidity packs then you need to check em out.

HEre's my curing regime.

The most important step is step 1 if ya fuck that one up you can't go back and fix it.....

1. Your bud must be done growing WAIT UNTIL IT IS RIPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2. Remove ALL fans, save sugar leaf etc...

3. Hang em until they are crisp ( stem snaps)

4. Place them in size appropriate stainless steel air tight bowls ( like the C -vault but lots cheaper)

5. place 62% Boveda Humidity packs in bowls (don't burp DOn't open leave em alone for at least a week) Perfect cure every time, no guess work no need for hygrometers.

The Boveda packs will always keep it 62% humidity adding or removing moisture as needed....

Also, if you have some meds that are to dry crispy etc... drop em in a container with a pack and BAM in a few days it is damn near perfect.....
Boveda Rocks and is affordable insurance!!! I'll never use anything else..

Ya the Boveda packs kick ass... On the C-vault just do a google search for Stainless steel airtight bowls or canisters search around I found the exact same thing as the c-vault ( except no handy hanger for the boveda pack) on ebay for whole set of 9 for 30 bucks.

I just did a quick search and found these ( http://www.naturalathome.com/product/airtight-watertight-stainless-steel-food-storage-containers ) so dig around you could find em ALOT cheaper. I have found alot of products are just re purposed and re-branded for MJ and the price goes up 3-5 fold.

Examples.

1. 420 scope ( hand held microscope you can by online for 3 bucks or go to Radio shack and by one for 10 bucks
2. C-vault (see above)
3. Bubble machine 350 -400 (small machine to extract hash) these are just portable RV clothes washing machines I found on Amazon for 50 bucks

Don't really need the stainless. I keep the jars in a dark cabinet and having clear glass makes it easy to read the hydrometers inside. My current cure is going into six months. I don't pop the lids except to change out the Bovedas every 4-5 months.

Nothing against the C-Vault, if they wanted to give me a couple to try out, I wouldn't refuse, lol.
You guys have me convinced to try the Boveda packs.
I mostly fuck up when burping jars by taking samples and forgetting I was burping jars.
5 minutes turns into an hour sometimes.
