Curing for Cooking?

Does one need to cure if they are going to make baked goods? It would seem intuitive that drying/curing is really only for smoking and safe storage. I am just curious to see if anyone has any experience with this... Thanks

I cure for at least a week before making my butter. I always taste my buds after drying before curing, I have noticed that after one lil week the buds are much more stoney.

Your butter will be significantly greener (from chlorophyll) if you don't cure, but it doesn't really effect taste in a negative way for food like it does for smoking. Depending on what you intend to make, it may look funny. I Made sugar cookies from some fresh crop cannabutter, they took on a sickly green color, but tasted fine and the high was the same as always.
