Curing and Getting a Great Smell

I've been curing my recent White Widow grow for a little over a month now. It hits very smooth and the high is very strong/intense. One thing that's throwing me is the smell. It smells like sappy Christmas tree, not that perfumy, minty smell you get from dispensaries.

I was thinking is was my nutrient formula, others have said that danker smells come out after longer cures (2 months or more).

Any ideas from your experiences?

As long as it's not to dry ....it should get better with time .....when you bust a nug open is it sticky and have a better smell than just sniffing your cure jar ????

Mine doesn't,
If your bud isn't getting better with a cure and doesn't smell better when you crack a nug than that's unfortunate ....cause my medicine smells better after the cure is well under way and I really get the full smell when I break a nug open ....

I think I stressed the plant too much during flower. Oh well next run will be better.

That's good for you though! I bet it smells so good

Yes I start my cure on the wetter side ....I like my stems to bend over and stay there just breaking to where they stay bent over and the buds feel dry to the touch.... but not to where they snap like most people but I also start cure in brown paper bags so I can dump them out easier before going to jars and starting normal cure burp technique .....it's a lil more work but well worth the effort ...especially if your guna grow the stuff why get lazy at the most important phase dry/cure

Curing takes 5 weeks at least - one can use Bovdea pack (62%) to make a perfect cure at 62% RH - very least is 15 days

Do you keep it in jars and just burp it? I bring up the freezer thing, because it sounds logical. Modern freezers have dehumidifiers in them to keep frost out. And there is still a bit of moisture in the air. Maybe it'd stay in the middle properly.

The only time you freeze marijuana is for long term storage of 6 months or more - many do put pot in icebox in veg drawer - but for curing you need jars and at first you need to burp jars 2x's daily for a few weeks once cured you can keep in jars for 6mo's with Boveda pack at 62%RH. Many use frozen to make bubble hash (let set out for 1/2 hr)
