View attachment 2302816View attachment 2302817View attachment 2302821View attachment 2302824 watch out for too much!! size killed me this last grow...no room in the freezer for food...no room in my pantry due to canning jar's overflowing!!DID NOT WANT THAT MUCH AT ONCE!!!had kidney stoner over to see the 2.3lb's of cola's but he was impressed with the 1.2lb's of popcorn bud's!! so sent him home with a nice sack of herb to keeep him going till his harvest of my purple haze and the lsd plant's i gave him then his will come in a week later!Warning I lost 14 large cola's due to brown mold due to densisty of bud's..will water hash this and sugar leaves...I will never do this much at once!!It took two of us 4 1/2 hour's just to cut and trim 5 plant's!!started getting sloppy and a lot of big bud's ended up in the hash pile!! You don't care with a table overflowing with cola's..was overwhelming and not enjoyable at all! We filled the 22 shoe boxe's I havd and only had finished 3 plant's!! was way more than planned...planned 8-9 oz's per plant not 16-22 which is the dryed weight of the largest...2 cooking tin's 14" dia and 12 two quart canning jar's..ran out of everything and had to use small trash can's for a few day's just to hold over as my drying rack which was 8X8X8 was way too small to hang the bud's..almost dry now still 67% RH but most is in the freezer now. watch out for the beef!!!!jack quit manacuring after six hour's will trim the other's after cured..
Jack, You'll have to run me through your set up again... 22 ounces per plant is fucking immense! That's too much even lol how on earth?

Anyway, I've just planted Exo cheese and Strawberry cheese. I reckon a couple of sleestack seedlings are gonna have to move out the way later today... They kinda mutated anyway from germing upside down lol they came up with two tops :S strange but pretty cool.
Got some renovations to do also, fun times...

Glad to see you back Jack. Been away? Or maybe just busy looking for biscuit tins lol
I bought 22 cookie tin's all christmas tree shop had!! they all looked at me strange!!Really My light penatration is 48" with the european reflector focused.....still cove's floor space of 4X4 foot.....better penatration larger denser deeper bud's...even those popcorn bud's kidney stoner will tell you are the size of golf balls...weight add's up exponentially when condition's are dialed in...Co2.Light.And temp's.....genetic's is the only game changer...UVB a must for resin production and the rest is wait!!!!!!

i like the build as much as i like the grow.... yeah there is times i get frustraited when things don't work how i think they should, but its the same with the grow sometimes things happen that are beyond my control or knowledge. but i really love the build its better then christmas.
worked on a mates late bag seed plant few days ago.... he soil germed it about 3 and a half weeks ago and i gave him a 3 gallon pot to move it into, now its nearly 2" and he was getting a little nervious about on-lookers, so i lst'd the crap out of it and now its much shorter :-) . it turned overnight and now looks great. the maintop is level with the lowest bud site and all the smaller sites have started going mad. mates well impressed.
what new gadgets you got for your growspace then mate?

Hey peeps, seems like ages lol
scrog vegging aint half boring... but I've been keepin busy none the less.

Anyways...
The leaning tower of weedza, aka Caramelo.
So the pot is massive, I was always told to always go bigger when it comes to soil pots, so there it is. 60 litres, in yer face!
New addition to the mix, vermiculite. Dunno why, just seemed the right thing to do lol
So there's a inch thick layer of pebbles at the bottom for drainage and roughly 1 part general compost to half part perlite and quarter part vermiculite - ish. Just threw it in and mixed it by hand... Fed her up with some Plant Magic Root Stimulant and sprayed her dripping with Evolution (which I blagged for free today at the hydro shop lol) so I'm really expecting lots of explosive growth over the next few weeks. She also had a good supercropping a few days ago, for which she appeared healed and ready.

As the pic shows, she's really stretched out over the past month and was totally root bound in that little pot. Only one month in the 5" pot and I think she did ok as those roots were solid tight and may explain some of the yellowing (she previously spent 1 month in a 3" pot). Now she's in this cavernous pot I reckon she's gonna go mad :) Even without the boosters!
Soon as she's showing new growth, I'll know she's reacted well to the transplant and will throw her under the HPS for a week, maybe two, of high power veg before flipping her over to 12/12. But it may still take another week for the transplant to be presumed successful...

You must've noticed my new gadget...
I call it 'the perculator' (there are other designs available), basically a root riot in a grodan (rockwool) cube. An air pump is pushing water, using air pressure, up the hose and through the straw, drip feeding the root riot, soaking the cube and draining back into the reservoir below. The drip is steady and not timed. Exodus Cheese is the seed and has been in for three days now and still no sign of poppage... Canna Rhizatonic is the only stimulant used.
Will it work? bets please...

IMG-20120825-00241.jpgIMG-20120825-00240.jpg

My now empty, but clean, flower box. Waiting patiently for it's next victim lol
I've bought a shit load of light-proof material for the door section so I'm hoping that'll solve one major problem from my last grow. Damn hanging that curtain up again every bleedin night!

IMG-20120813-00234.jpg

Propogator is not doing as well as I'd hoped (no pics). My clones are now three weeks in and still no roots. They're now showing signs of cannabilising themselves and I'm not sure about the seedlings... now two Sleestacks, one Strawberry Cheesecake and a likely dead Budziller seed. SC hasn't popped yet, same time planted as the Exodus but the Sleestacks seem to be showing movement on the jagged front, good. I may have a better idea of this propogation after another week. But I've not yet had a successful clone out of it! Frustration and impatience is starting to set in with this one.

Anyhoo, Be back in a bit :)

flower room looks too empty for my liking!... but an impressive little space now mate .... caramelo looks ok, think it might need another 4 weeks veg looking at that screen.
do you find the airpump for your perculator makes too much noise? i bought a new one for my 20litre feedcan last year... it said on the box "almost silent" i had 6 fans running in my cabinet but i could hear that airpump the loudest! almost silent if you're completely deaf or in the next county.
the perc might work, its always worth a try and i find tinkering with things passes the time... (the huge amount of time between each crop)

i've not really done cloning yet... and i dont think its going to happen in a hurry... my other half has seen my efforts to prepair the shed and has bought conditions to my grow .... max 3 plants including veg!... so that rules out SOG .... and craming the fower tent... i think i'll go for a 3 plant scrog, under a 4 ft screen... and hope she lightens up a little in the future. on the other hand i have the option of keeping a veg operation at a friends, but that has plenty of problems not least running around with plants in the trunk :-(

seeya in a while cumbers

Much too empty! It's kinda giving me a chance to refurb the space and rearrange the venting, but I just can't be arsed! I know temps are gonna start going down now with the weather so I may just be alright for my next cycle with the way things are already. I guess my laziness is to be my undoing lol

Trout, my air pump is actually the quietest thing in my lair!
A little tip - hang it up with some string, rather than place it flat. That keeps the pressure above your usage if hanging it above and it stops the buzzing noises completely as the string takes all the energy :) If you check my pics again you can see it hanging above my propo.

Yeah that's kinda what I'm hoping with my perculator. Made it for fun more than anything but now I'm really hoping it works as it's a perfect means for vegging before flowering in hydro. If it works, I'll either make a couple more or make a bigger system.
I am getting the feeling though, that I need to start my seeds in tissue and then transplant them into the propo. I think they're just too wet currently. Trouble is I hate handling young seedlings, they're just so delicate!

Conditions to your grow?
That sounds very female lol Have you considered adding conditions to her conditions? Like at least one blow job a week lol and at least one public one a month pmsl
Mate - once she see's some cash in her hands her tone may change... mine did. Now she's seen some breeze she actually wants me to grow more haha cheeky!

You're only option otherwise is to grow them out massive! One in propo, one in veg and one in flower - that seems like the only way really if 3 is your limit.
(You may have to plant up to 4 seeds to get one good one - that's the best excuse you got at the mo lmao)
Vegging at someone elses house, will only bring problems... Not just with your missus, but with your mate. That's not to mention the bait of transporting. Avoid it.
Looking forward to seeing your new lab :)

Oh yeah - 4 weeks extra veg

That screen is new as of yesterday and much bigger than my last one. My current use of a screen is not for the usual spacing but simply for stretching. It saves me pissing around with string and extra training as all I have to do is wait for nodes to poke up and just poke them back down again LoL - the screen'll not be permanent until well into flower.

The idea is to give this another week, at most, for the sake of roots taking hold. Then it's got at least another two weeks of veg in this pot, some of it under HPS too (which I can only do while there's nothing else in flower) so I think it'll be more than ok filling up that screen :) also, I still want a bit of space in that cab for my tasters :) gonna have some cheesey ones and sleestack tasters too if they turn out to be fems :)

I would hope eventually to transfer perculators from veg box to flower box, straight with no transplant - strictly for my tasters ;)
I have a FloGro500 flood and drain type thing. I hope to be using this for my next main cycle, either the exodus or the strawberry.

yeah i thought about this 3 plant thing ... and your right it is gonna be a pain .. but i have to veg 3 to start with so i'll veg them big in the flower tent.. then flip em 12/12 ... meanwhile i'll start building the mk2 cabinet purely for veg ... i'm gonna have my grow space locked and my partner has photosensitive epilepsy, so she cant get anywhere near some cfl's and defo not a hps lamp for sure ... so i doubt if she'll even go in there .. and all the while i'm harvesting 3 palnts at any one time i guess i'm home and dry :-) ......... who's to know ;-)

the hanging thing is a good idea for the air-pump ..... i'm gonna build acoustic boxes for my fans and only use insulated ducting outside of the grow room so hopefully i'll keep the noise to a sensible limit

Just bought a four pot tube feed system and water pump :)

I have a council recycling tub full of dirt in the garde, perfect size and with a perfectly fitting lid ;) im just pondering if its worth making the noise to clean it out at this time of night... I could save it for tomorrow, but am kinda excited to see it working lol
Sadly, it is just too dark out there *sigh

yeah i think 3 veg and 3 bloom is the only way forward mate ;-)

really bored... just finished work so i got little energy but i really wanna make strides into getting my shed built :-( ... hearing all about your tinkerings is making me get the hump with myself and all my stoned faffing.

speaking of which just getting though a bit of what i'm told is big bud x rhino .... smelt great when i picked it up, after a further night on my tray its a bland as f**k ... none of the rhino flavor, so i'm guessing its one for the commercial fellas.... i'll give it a wide birth and grow GHS white rhino instead ... at least i know that has the taste and smell i require

mates cat has ragged the be-jubus out of that bagseed lst plant i've been working on (think its some sort of cheese/skunk), but she'll pull through i'm sure... don't know if "critical jack" the cat has got my mates boot out of its arse yet???

LoL Critical Jack, what a cool name for a cat :)
Can't say I know a lot about Big Bud, apart from the one I grew was shit, bland and very generic.
white Rhino, at least you'll know it has good F1 genetics being from the white family.
All I really got is the Fruit Punch, which isn't really that strong a smoke and quite boring after a few weeks (I have another two months of it). I gots cheese left too but not much now... and the tiniest little piece of Budziller which I'm harbouring for a rainy day (it's raining now lol)

Mate, I get the same when I see all me mates stuff going on and I'm a skint ass biotch with mediocre shit going on hahaha But the end of the day you just gotta go with what you got, until you can afford to upgrade. For me it's all about the self perpetuation. as long as it's paying for itself then I can stay smoking :)

3 plants in flower is ample mate, as long as your space can allow them to go okay sized. You can have two running your perpetual cycles and one to just fill the gaps.
Your veg may be different. One large one, a medium one and a couple of germy seedlings, unless of course you plan to run them all together at once...

Any idea of what kinda yield you're looking for?
For my scrog, I want at least 4 ounces of Caramelo, but I'm hoping for 5 or 6. Then my efforts will have been for the better good :) If it yields anything like Budziller, then I'll be looking at around 8 or 9 ounces :)

Hi all , hope you dont mind me pulling up a chair n seeing whats going on in here :)

Not been on the site for abit but back on now and looking at some new threads :) this one seemed one of the more interesting ones !

Im a fellow UK grower , just got my setup back and ready to start up again , doing a perpetual 4 plant grow...

I should have some clone only Exodus cheese coming any day soon and also ive got some pineapple express clones on route and ive also just stuck some generic weed seeds into some jiffys to see if they germ...

ive been growing for the past 6 years now so if i can help with anything along the way ill try my best !

Your plants are looking great at the minute though man , if your running low on smoke the best way to resist temptation of a early chop is to get your rizlas and rub one over a cola on your plant , the rizla will start to go clear coloured as it gets oilly ... roll some tobacco into that rizla and get blazed .. your plant can remake trichs and oils it cant remake chopped colas lol

hey robbie :-) i remember you from my old thread ... how goes it?

cumbers mate i really don't know what expect ... but lets say i go with the kush or shark attack i got here, i would like to think i could hit 12oz dry per harvest with 1.44 m2 area to play with. the strain info's claim up to 500 grams per m2, so i'd declare victory at 12oz ... thats over 5 grams percy per day, that'll do me nicely :-)

Hi Rob, sure man pull a chair up and grab a biscuit ;) all welcome here. I love getting advice and love giving it too lol
Am honoured that you liked my thread over the others - thanks! Although... I gotta say, being an HPS grower in a CFL forum is always gonna make my shit look good haha I've been meaning to move my thread over but I'm still really a CFL grower at heart and I keep my 250w CFL for vegging so I kinda still have a small right to be here LoL
The Exodus Cheese is badass mate, don't really matter what the source is these days as they're all great! I'm going with the Greenhouse strain as it's (supposedly) the original taken from the old clone back in the day. If you haven't grown them before you'll love it!

Yeah man, did that rizla on the cola thing my last grow. Didn't really work so good and I was proper craven for a piece of bud hahaha only took two or three branches and they was good too :) out of nearly 30 branches, it didn't really dent the crop too hard.

Any pics of your grows handy? Feel free to grace my thread with beauty, I love a bit of bud porn :)

Don't forget, they offer those stats with a standard of 1000w so it'll be slightly less than that if you're working with 600w and a lot of it depends of environment and grow style etc. I'm sure you know this anyway.
What I'm saying is, that with a space that size you can afford to make them big and gain a whole new growing style. Which will no doubt happen anyway, but with some insight you can surely achieve huge yields.
I'm always about if you need to bounce some ideas :)

yeah i have a 600w and a slightly more than a square metre... i kinda reduced my ideal of max yeild by just under half the possible per metre sq, because i grow in soil and won't have the outright power of 1kw

i'll be so happy to get another grow under my belt... and get some buds in the jars.
so with this in mind i got one of my shed jobs sorted, went to the diy store and got some shiplap and paneled up the old window holes..... next is the base!

Yeah mate, excellent!

I done part of my light proofing - kind of copped out with the whole reducing-the-box-height project - found some awesome stuff in my local. It's white and plastic, like bin bag sort of thing. Don't know what it's called but cheap as chips, like 2 quid a metre square.
Exo has poked through the cube and into the perculator already! had to light proof that too lol wasn't expecting a tap root for a while yet.
Strawberry cheese cake seems to have died... did the same thing as lib haze did before, popped out of its shell and no further... hmmm
Sleestacks seem to be doing okay, onto their second/third set of jagged leaves. Strange, but these leaves are so close together, all huddled up in the middle of the tap leaves. But growing.
Caramelo cuts have been three weeks with no taps, so I re-cut them and re sowed them. My fingers are crossed.
Caramelo Mum is doing great! Can't wait to switch my light on for her. Weekend is the switch over, then she'll start proper vegging lol

Cos of the death, I shall have to decide on sowing another seed... shall I try my last SCC seed, or one of the other cheeses?
