So has anyone found out what the pineapple is? Indica? Sativa? Hash plant?
I don’t know why Caleb doesn’t do S1 of the pineapple and the shishkaberry he has.
I’d be all over shish S1’s.
its a early finishing thin blade plant. It gets big, has a good bud to leaf ratio. Smells like pineapple.

An S1 literally only has a single plants genetics in it, there's no "working" whatsoever. A breeding line is a cross, flat out plain and simple and has nothing to do with an S1.
My point was if that single chosen plant is from an F1 generation there is obviously going to be significant variance when you breed with it (reversing or not). If the line was worked to the point where a large percentage of the progeny is uniform before a chosen female is selected, my opinion is that the S1 progeny will be noticeably better.

Has anyone grown out the Bubba Kush S1 by CSI?

I'm interested in having some narcotic kushy smoke in my rotation again and wanted to see how well this Bubba strain holds up if anyone has feedback.

i asked caleb on instagram, but unfortunately didn't get a response. my bro is popping some pineapple x sherbert i got from CSI. there are a couple threads on ICMAG which talk about a clone-only pineapple found in cali. i'd probably guess this is what he has

Yeah I’d have thought a cross to trainwreck made sense and can see why that would have been popular for a bit for outdoor.
I imagine the cross would not be very pineapple though.
And I’m gunna firm up my belief that the pineapple is probably a Thai hybrid if it’s thin leaf and outdoor and big yield and smells fruity.
I’d say Caleb needs to find a pineapple Thai male or pineapple fields male or pineapple c99 male to take his pineapple clone better places.

When you buy S1 you are doing a hunt. Plain and simple. They aren't "bad S1s", they're just S1s. S1s have very high variance - both to the awesome side and to the terrible side. All S1s.
It depends on how stable the genetics are. If it is true breeding then even S1 will be uniformly like the parent. A Punnett square shows that each heterozygous gene has a 25% chance of coming up homo recessive in every selfed seed, that's where the variation comes from.

Not a company I will ever try, WAY WAY WAY WAY outta my price range. 21 bucks a seed is insane.
Just wait for his 4/20, black Friday, or Christmas/New years sales. You can order 1 pack for 20% off and he usually hooks it up with like 3-4 more packs of freebie packs. Csi is awesome when it comes to freebie packs if you order direct from him. It'll end up being like $5 a seed or less.

I dunno I have a hard time justifying even 5 bucks a seed. Problem of being a food gardner where i can get 250 seeds for 3 bucks

Ive had a couple cuts of bubba and if you get something similar youll surely be happy. As others have said, theres a bit more "hunting " to do with a pack of S1's though, I know you didnt mention hybrids but the most narcotic skunky kushy plant/nug ive ever had was a likely wifi leaner of 3 queens (wifi43 x bubba) and id imagine wifi x tk or tk x bubba would also be knockout weed

I grew one wifi/tk and it was very nice indeed. Pretty much as you say, a knockout. Good yielder too. All around very nice representation of an og, with an extra layer of frost than most.

What is in your garden if we may ask?
Some Cheap 2 dollar menu Mexican Red Hair Sativa Auto Fem from NASC. Because its what I could afford, I prefer autos and sativas, and they were 2 bucks a seed. I am not throwing any shade on CSI Humbolt at all, I have heard nothing but great things about them, I simply can not afford 21 bucks a seed, no matter how great the genetics are. It really simply is that I am just poor. I cant work due to my health, and have very little money, so I have to do anything i want to do on an extreme budget. Also my intreast in strains tends to lead toward the older Landrace strains. Stuff I smoked as a teen lol

You keep saying "21 bucks a seed" which was already disproven. The Giesel drop came with a discount code so my $120 pack of seeds was $102 after shipping, and came with an 11 pack of Xmas bud regs and 7 fem Diesel x Giesel, on top of whatever other freebies CSI will almost surely send my way out of generosity. Lets do some quick math here:

$102 got me a MINIMUM total of 14 fems and 11 regs, but if CSI is as generous as hes been in the past id say youre almost guaranteed another 3 fems or more which would be at least 17. Giving us 28 seeds.

Our scary number of "21 bucks" a seed is now around $3.50 per. Lets say you are like me and only grow fems, were at $6, shipped.

Thats banking on not getting blessed with like 4 packs for free which is actually common, go back and look at some pics of what people were sent.

When a $6 (or less) seed makes a plant that produces nug netting $300/oz easily, that i can freely clone an infinite number of times, i say take my money.

Yeah madvillian420 and slacker140 are right with the sales. I received 105 fem seeds and 22 reg seeds at an average price of $2.73 per seed including shipping. Also I hear sending cash you might get hooked up more than using another type of payment

I get that I do. Let me break it down, I order on the 2 dollar menu, I get 6 seeds, that is 12 bucks, plus 6 for shipping so 18 total, I can scrape together 20 bucks, what I can not scrape together is 102 bucks.

it is NOTHING against them at all, I have literally never heard a Single bad thing about them, everything I have heard has been fantastic. But I simply can not come up with over 100 bucks for seeds. I dont work due to my health. So its just not possible for me to order from them. If they were selling Single seeds where you could order 1,2,3,4,5 etc at 3.50 per seed, I for sure would order, but that big pack cost to get the 3.50 per seed prices from them out of my budget.
