Hey folks,

This will be my first growing :hump: I made my indoor setup ready and looking for some seeds. But i have max 8-9 weeks before my house will be full of parents.:wall: So i'm looking for some fast strains. But information on web seems confusing. Some pages say to a strain "approx 8 weeks from seed to harvest" but some of them say 8 weeks of flowering time to an exact same strain. You experianced growers tell me, what is the true information?

http://www.herbiesheadshop.com/heavyweight-fast-and-vast-auto-autoflowering-feminised-seeds-4648
(for example this one says 8 weeks from germination to harvest)

http://www.gorilla-cannabis-seeds.co.uk/advancedfemaleseeds/feminized/knockout.html

I'm thinking about these ones. And trying to understand how much time i need to them or other ones. Fast strains has shorter flowering time, so they will bloom early and need short time in flowerig stage(like 2-3 weeks). Otherwise how could be possible 8 weeks time to harvest from germination?

The 2nd one is autoflowering, the rest are not.

Imo its going to take alot longer than 8-9 weeks to do this, especially if you don't have the seeds.

If everything worked perfectly, you'd be drying a full flower plant for a bit longer than finish time.

So what about general idea of "germination to harvest" times or flowering times?

also if they are not autoflowering that means it will take much longer than seed brands said?

Autoflowers don't necessarily finish when promised, either. I have an outdoor Red Dwarf going at 7.5 weeks and the seed company lists this as an eight to nine week plant. Buds are forming well and the plant looks great, but it will not even be close to finishing at eight weeks. I'm betting at least three-four more.

most strains i've done are almost all around 9 weeks of flower. had a few sativas go 11 weeks.

check out nirvana seeds and their ak-48. supposed to be done flowering in 48 days.

anyway you can get some clones? you can give them just a few days of veg to get used to your setup and then go to flower. way faster than starting from seed.

Agree with rkymtn, clones are your only chance for such short time... I also recommend 10H light / 14H darkness for flowering, they will finish quicker...

so probably its about marketing shit, or they write this lists with thinking utopicly well conditions  coz they clearly say "8 weeks germination to harvest"

Unfortunately no way i have clones, but for example approx. how much time i need for vegetative phaze for 1st link "speedy chili" ?

i looked for ak48...its says 7-9 weeks flowering period--that means she needs 7-9 weeks to bloom?

and "under perfect conditions, AK48 may finish in as few as 48 days." that means she needs 48 days in flowering period right?

thanks for the trick 8) but what about autoflowering ones?

autos are 18on/6 off the whole time from start to finish.
here's gonna be one problem: lets say you get ak48 and it's not done at 7 weeks(49days) and the parents are coming soon. you'd have to chop it down before its done and the smoke will be almost worthless if all the trichomes are clear. you still will need a good 3 to 5 days for it to dry too before you start to cure it.

i don't think you have enough time.

yes, flowering period is bloom period.

8 weeks - 56 days is not enough for Autos IMO, unless you do hydro/aero and have good luck with stable genetics.... The last 2 weeks of flowering is the crucial time when the trichs are mostly developed and matured, it would be too bad to be forced to an early harvest.

I'd go for a good Indica clone that flowers quick, that is if you can find it...
