Crop Robbed

Hey wassup erbody,

So, 2 days ago I got shit on. I have 4 outdoor plants, 2 tang dreams and 1 blue cheese and a dank bagseed. They are in a incredibly secluded spot. The bagseed and bluecheese are just about ready for picking. personnaly I would have waited to this coming week but... 2 days I wet back to water and someone had straight pulled the bluecheese out of the ground. They left all other plants. I plan to harvest the bagseed monday, the tang dreams need a few weeks.

I have a trail cam hidden back there now, wondering if anyone has any other suggestions on what I can do?

and if I can give one piece of information i've learned...You can't trust anyone.

They'll probably be back to grab the others as they finish too...... not much you can do really, other then look for a new spot next year. You could booby trap the area but that's not recommended for numerous reasons. Suck it up, and move on is the best thing at this point...

Its only 4 plants learn from it and move on. I could see if it was hundreds of plants but call this a learning lesson and forget about the camera what are you gonna do beat up some little punk kids that stole your bag seed plants?

i'm not trying to be an asshole, but if they are in the same spot and one was already taken then you need to move or harvest the rest right now! do you really not expect them not to come back for the rest? its amazing that you still plan to wait a few weeks for a few of them, you need to act now if you still want to harvest anything at all this year. it sucks that you were ripped, but you need to adapt and figure the rest of this out now rather then worrying about the trail camera or who may have done what!

what good will a cam do? Once they are gone.... they are gone... you may get footage of them taking it... but unless you know them... it wont matter...

I have seen a ton of these "robbed or stolen" threads and most of them are grows outside of the area they live in.. I dont think I have seen a thread yet whereas they were stolen from the backyard or....

Problem with a trail cam is if they see it when they come back for the rest, you will be out a cam too. :(
Chances are, anybody low enough to steal plants either doesn't give a shit about being seen, or doesn't think that far ahead.

I have another view on the cam being used , it could get you into legal trouble if the ripper(s) involved have loose lips or get caught .. I have to admit once a grow has been discovered the variables and odds become worse .. Imagine if this cam gets intercepted by LEO and is used in a court of law against you ...

Most with logic at this decision would move the plants if possible or cut and call it a loss and count it as a learning lesson .. I once was in a situation like this but at the beginning of flowering , I had them in buckets buried do to my preference when growing like so in a remote local .. I pulled them all up and moved the females to come back the next day to see a Helicopter landing mark and my boys gone buckets and all . I learnt then and there that its best to do whats necessary when facing rippers or Leo like I did ........

Really? odd. outs CAN NOT be secured and in a legal state shouldn't be allowed. https://www.rollitup.org/outdoor-growing/434517-colorado-medical-greenhouse-25.html

Another though I forgot to mention above is that if you cut them now and move swiftly you may be able to keep them alive in water like a Christmas Tree and enforce a little more ripening by doing so with mild ferts and a final flush of pure water ..I did this earlier in the month due to an early frost this year ... The girls camped in 5 gallon buckets for a few weeks and all was fine .......

Yeah Believe Thurgood, they'll be back I promise you that much. I'd be willing to bet that about 99% of Guerrilla growers have been in your situation at least once in their careers that's a guarantee. Another almost sure fire guarantee for you to hear is that who ever did this ( hunters, kids, cops, associates of yours etc) will eventually come back for more or tell all there buddies what and where they found. Anyway as harsh as it sounds, I truly am sorry for you bro! I know how hard it is to see your baby(s) gone after a season of hard work and money spent.

Leave the cam take the plants finish them inside or early harvest you can still get fottage of them they won't know your plants are gone till they are on camera and an early harvest is better than none

Hey wassup erbody,

and if I can give one piece of information i've learned...You can't trust anyone.
Did you happen to break rule #1?
If so you learned your lesson.
Here's how far I take it. Had a female 'friend' that needed a place to stay. Let her shack up with me during the summer. She had no clue whatsoever. I jog every other day and my once a week hikes were normal to her. Didn't tell someone who I was sharing my place with for a few months. That's how far I take it anyways. If I would have I would have put it and myself at risk.
Now if you didn't then that sucks bad and I feel for you. Out of 3 plots had 15 in one. 15 in another. and 6 in the last that was started at the end of May just for laughs.
The first 15 was found and taken by someone. Probably the fuz because they were only like a foot high when they vanished. If not I hope someone enjoyed their leaves.
The second I ended up letting my best pal take it over due to the fact I moved.
The 3rd is the only one left. Had 2 very nice tops suffer as victims to a deer last week.
It happens man.
Harvest time and fall is the worst. Between choppers out looking. Hunters out hunting. And animals out foraging for the winter just expect it to happen =/
I'm doing buckets in trees next year lol

Thanks everyone. harvesting the bagseed today. Leaving the tangdreams with the camera on them. And I have learned something..I just can't believe some one where I live would do this to me. To find them you have to know where I live and that I was growing. People are fucks.

Thanks everyone, forreal.
This has been pretty fucking traumatic. It's some bullshit.

Keep it real and pack another bowl. trust no one.

can you move the other ones? again, i'm not trying to be a dick but i just don't wanna see you lose your stuff as you are acting like the trail camera is some sort of armed guard. whoever stole the other plant might take or smash the camera as well as take your remaining crop.

ohh no dude, you're not a dick. I need the input. never had this happen. The bagseed plant is harvested and drying. fucking dank. I'm impressed.

The two tangerine dreams are many weeks out still. And my thought is that The theif has been checking on them without my knowledge. so they knew when they wanted to take the bluecheese. Early in my opinion but they probley thought I would chop her soon. the camera is pretty well hidden and up in a tree. i put branches around it. I'm hoping to see who crop robbed me when they go to check up on the remaining 2. which are the 2 larger yielders. The bluecheese only had roughly a QP on her. same with the bagseed.

I just dont know what else I can do. there's no way I can move them. And I know the camera isnt shit, if it were me and i saw it id just steal that shit too.

if it was me, knowing what i know about your situation then i would just harvest them early and hash them out or make some edibles. i don't really like the idea of almost leaving them as bait to MAYBE find out who took them. then what? some of the boneheads on here will tell you to beat the shit outta the person, kill thier dog, rape thier sister ect. the fact is that most people who would give that kind of advice are either 14 years old or wouldn't follow that advice anyways, and if they would then they have no business around cannibis anyway as that sort of attitude does nothing but give ammunition to people who wish to keep it illegal!

getting involved in some sort of vendetta over weed seems counter productive anyways as that sort of mindset goes way better with a methlab operation rather then someone looking to grow some killer smoke! the best bet it to salvage all that you can while avoiding any unnecessary bullshit and learning from any mistakes and being more stealthy next year. good luck!

I feel your pain, I really do. I had 6 plants up in front of my house, behind an enclosed courtyard that has 7ft. tall walls. I had this funny feeling and brought 5 inside but left one out there as it was too tall to bring inside. The smell is what they seek out as they simply walk around smelling the air which leads them right to your plants. Well someone jumped over the wall and took it; about 2 weeks left to harvest. I know the feeling it's like rape, the closest I can feel. If I could catch the a$$ that would rip off someone's hard work and all that time, I'd for sure do damage to them. The worst part was that this plant was Deadhead X Larry OG, and was entirely with purple leaves and purl buds too. The Colas!, there were a total of 18 as I had trained her all Summer. Freaking bastards, but like someone said above, it's gonna' happen if your plants are outdoors; doesn't matter where they are, these "people" will smell them and take them. Too bad they don't consider the negative Karma they obtain from such acts. The next night, the grower across the street from me got ripped for 5 complete plants and then they went around and cut off all the main Colas from around 18-20 very nice, tall plants. Think he's pissed?
