Hello all,

I need to start the thread for Crop #3.

As I did not set aside time to Veg these out for larger vessels, I am
going to do another 2-gallon smart pot SOG.

This will give me 36 slots to fill.

I intend to try Vegging more with a future grow, but my current SOG
is working really well.

For this Crop the breeds will be:
=========================
Cannaventure Seeds Purple Berry BX II
Cali Connection Deadhead OG
Cali Connection Chem 40G
TGA Subcool Seeds Qrazy Train
Barney's Farm Blue Cheese
=========================

STRAIN 1: Cannaventure Seeds Purple Berry BX II:

My Mother:
BB-BX-1.jpg

Cannaventure Seeds Purple Berry BX (Blueberry Indica x Purple Berry) A very
stable strain, The flowers turn a dark purple/violet color, beginning about 3
weeks in flower, even the leaves around the flowers turn dark purple. Fast to
flower at 7-8 weeks, and has a sweet blueberry aroma which comes through in
taste and smell. Dense, rock hard flowers. Very Easy to grow. Good yield due
to the density of the flowers. One of the most beautiful plants I have ever
seen. Guaranteed to find a keeper in each pack.. (People can't get enough of
this, they love purple flowers)

Characteristics:
===========
Sex: Regular
Type: Indica & Sativa
Flowering: Photoperiod
Height: Medium
Area: Indoor & Outdoor

This is the famed Original 91 chemdawg AKA the skunk VA cut.

As it was the only verified cut chem gave out. His online screen name is Skunk
VA. Hence the reference. The legend of legends. The creator of so many
legendary strains like OG Kush, Sour Diesel and so forth.

This cut was crossed to my SFV OGK F4 male. Think Lemon Funk skunk Type – 60/40 Sativa/Indica
Flowering time – 65/75 Days Yield – Medium/High

Chem40G-preflower-female.JPG

Cali Connection Chem 4OG Seeds The Chem 4 clone was found from seeds started
in 2006 from the original seed stock chemdog sent joebrand. joebrand stated
the seeds chem sent him and out of them there was chem 1,2,3,4. the Chem 4 is
what joebrand dubbed the Reunion pheno as it reminded him most of the original
dogweed from crested butte. i crossed this to my SFV OGK F4 amle in hope of
bumping up the yeild on the og, and in hopes of bringing a little more citrus
out of the chem4. expect large yeilds form this hybrid. Flower time will be 8
weeks

TGA Subcool Seeds Qrazy Train:

QrazyTrain-2.jpg
QrazyTrain-2-preflower-female.jpg

TGA Subcool Seeds Qrazy Train After the very succesful hybridization of our
Black Train Wreck and Jack the Ripper we sat out to create hybrid with the
potency that the Black Wreck passes on with the great taste of our Querkle.
The resulting offspring are a match made in heaven with equal traits being
passed from both parents. The progeny express the best attributes of both
contributing parents. The Space Queen provides an underlying fruit smell that
rounds the cross out. The cross matures very fast shwoing milky resin heads at
day 45 of flowering.Buds are spear shaped with a good calix to leaf ratio. Most
of the leaves have been fading and falling off prior to harvest with some
leaves turning to the nice burgandy amber fall colors. Taste like Spicy,Skunky
with an underlieing Grape fuel that is deep and heavy also hints of Melon and
Champagne

Characteristics:

Sex: Regular
Type: Indica & Sativa
Flowering: Photoperiod
Height: Medium
Area: Indoor & Outdoor

Barney's Farm Blue Cheese:

BlueCheese.jpg
BlueCheese-preflower-female.jpg

Barney's Farm Blue Cheese By breeding the famous Skunk #1 “Cheese” through the
original and perennially popular Blueberry line, Barney’s Farm has created a
productive, easy-to-grow strain yielding incredibly fragrant and tasty buds.
The characteristically intense and pungent aged-cheese aromas are tempered
with sweet blueberry notes. Flavors are soft but assertive, singing of berries
n’ cream. This short, stocky plant has strong side branches that develop tight,
sticky colas during a fairly short flowering period. The potent effects are
calming and relaxing – a true sensation for Indica enthusiasts.

Characteristics:
===========
Sex: Regular & Feminized
Type: Indica
Flowering: Photoperiod
Height: Short
Area: Indoor
Genetics: Big Buddha Cheese X Blueberry

The Deadhead sounds like it will be some killer smoke...well, they all do.

I will also be keeping the Crop #1 mothers, and will keep two clones of
each new female to be the new saved mother of these new breeds.

On the other hand, I killed all males. I learned how to make colloidal
silver, and proved that it works that way that I hope to use it....but
I was not able to come up with a stable, safe, and filtered place
to let them mature. I will be revisiting this topic.

Take care all,

JD

Hey,

I am using 2 gallon smart pots with a SOG, with a 600W HPS ducted lamp.

If I wanted to SCROG, then I would likely use a larger pot,
and more Veg time.

Good luck,

JD

I appreciate your stopping in jhod. I had noticed your danktitude. :0)

The real place to be is my Crop #2 thread, as it will be chop day for
the Somango tomorrow, and the AK-47 budsicles are about a week off.

This is such fun stuff. LMAO.

Take care,

JD

Well, it looks like I am getting 100% of my clones again.

Of all 50 I see none that are not rebounding. There was
a fair amount of wilting at first, but things look good now.

This photo was taken a day or two ago:
Crop3Clones.jpg

I took off the dome to air and spritz the babies and I checked
for roots. I am not seeing roots coming out of the cubes yet,
but for one that seems to be going nuts. This is not a problem,
as I will need the tent dark for a week to start the drying of
the AK-47 budsicles of Crop#2. (it should be harvest part 2
in just a day or two)

This is this is the sort of thing that I saw for Crop #2:

Take care,

Looking good there man. I'm just finishing up a Purple Berry myself, although I didn't get a purple pheno. It smells like Captain Crunch Crunch Berry cereal. Not a bad plant at all. Mine was very easy to grow. It didn't take being topped very well at all. It grows like your typical indica strain. It will have some fat ass colas on her. Anyways good luck.

SS, I am indeed using 2 gallon smart pots. I used 3 gallon SPs with my
first grow, but I can fit a 6X6 array of the 2 gallon pots into my tent.

I got some nice AK-47 budsicles doing this.

I think that I will add a week or so of extra Veg though. I pretty much
went right to 12/12.

KB, your data is very, very much appreciated. (i.e. topping). I am likely
not going to top these that much, though I had heard the DJ's BB needed it.

Reading your description makes me happy that I chose this breed (well, a
friend did).

Take care, and thanks for stopping by.

ahh i see. so a 36, 2 gallon smartpot Sog. Very nice! I know its tricky to guess but, how much do u think you'll harvest from a crop like this when its all said and dried?

Well, that is the hard part, as I do not even own a scale at this time.

I had one....I use it to weigh nutrients when making agar dishes for mycological use.
It has gone AWOL.

I will be posting some harvest shots of my AKs in my Crop #2 thread, but here is a sample:
IMG_1188.jpg

I got 26 of these budsicles, and six Somangos that are even tastier, so I am happy.

I am growing some serious kush this next run. I hope for good things.

I think that I will try to avoid the slight light burn that was the only issue that
I had for that run.

Take care,

JD

Hey JD, just caught up with this journal, looking real nice brother, going to be monitoring the OG Headband you got, looking to run it too. Love the kushes myself, got plenty under my belt, we`ll have to compare notes to do some crosses later :D. Best wishes and happy growing mate, I`ll be stickin` around,

Im subbed up, I want to see how the Deadhead OG from cali connection comes out.

Im running Black Ice OG from Cali Connection right now.
Its a cross between Blackberry Kush x Deadhead OG

I have to tell you though, that from my last run and this run I think its deadhead dominant for sure...
The smoke from my last harvest was very very good, but it took me a while to find that "right" pheno...

Good luck man!:bigjoint:

Hey KC,

I am happy to have you here.

This thread is about to get going.

Crop #2 is in the jars, water, and freezer :0) and I took the time,
now that the tent is empty to rework the internals.

The primary change was to move my Whisperline fan into the tent.
The inexpensive fan, that came with the tent, is louder at it's lowest
setting of three than the WL is at full power.

The leaves the tent with a slight negative pressure but this is
good as it will force all air leaving the tent to pass through the
carbon filter.

I say all this because I expect this Crop to be the stinkiest of all so far. (Yay!)

The Deadhead is indeed a very cool looking breed. I was shooting for skunk.
The Chem 4 OG was gotten that same visit to attitude.

Truth be told, I left one breed out of this Crop that really belonged in:
Reserva Privada OG Kush. I just over-looked it. It is currently part of
my planned Crop #4.

It will be insane, as I have three Sensi breed to work with as well:

Crop #4
===========
Sensi Seeds Jack Herer
Sensi Seeds Blueberry
Sensi Seeds Hash Plant
DNA LA Confidential
Reserva Privada OG Kush
===========

Well, that is the plan anyway.

The clones are rooting in the Root Riot tray. I will likely put them
into soil this week. I am thinking of two weeks of Veg. SOG.

Take care,

JD

Happy to be here mate, haha. I`ll strongly recommend you get the OG18 from RP, their OG was one of my first and is nice, but since I went to the OG18, it`s all I grow in the `Med Garden`. That is a nice looking list though man, if you had the OG18 in reg, you could do some crosses with the LA Con and get some of my Cataracts almost :blsmoke:. Keep it up man, this is a tasty thread

Hello all,

I finished filling the tent:
IMG_1214.jpg

This is the final line-up:
==============
6 Purpleberry
7 Chem 4 OG
9 Deadhead OG
1 Hawaiian Snow
8 Blue Cheese
5 Qrazy Train
==============

The HS is a funny story. I had thought to add this breed to this
Crop, as something of a random filler.

I had the seed in my breast pocket and when I bent over the pots
to pick one up, it fell out, of course, and was presumed lost.

A few weeks later I noticed that there was was competing sprout
popping out next to one of my highly-prized Purpleberry plants.

It turns out that the seed fell into soil.

At first I was about to pull it. ...but the description of the breed
that I saw online was attractive, so I waited. It turns out that that
Purpleberry was a male and so the stow-away took over the pot.

Onward and upward,

JD

P.S. This will help when watering:
