Critical strain - height issue

I would like to have your opinion and advice on one issue that I have.

Would be possible to grow the strain Critical in a room where the height is 2m? I have read that this strain does not become more than 1m tall so I am thinking whether I should plant this photosynthesisstrain instead of an autoflower.

Any help on this matters is very appreciated, it is the last step before I can start.

Although I have not grown out Critical, i can assure you that you will be able to control your canopy with a handful of different techniques. There are many, many methods to control the height of your plants. I will list a few for you as a starting point. From there you will at least have an idea and be able to research more on the topic:

- shortened veg time: only veg the plant untill she is sexually mature. When preflowers beguin to appear, and the plant starts growing alternating nodes (roughly 8"-12" tall) then flip to 12/12

- use a MH or higher Kalvin (5000K-6500K) light for the first 7-14 days of flower. This will help reduce the streatch plus give you tighter nodes

- decrease the amount of nitrogen (N) and increase your phosphate (P) in your last feed before flipping to 12/12

- top, fim, super crop your plant a minimum of one week prior to flipping to 12/12. This will trigger hormones in the plant that will slow down vertical growth while forcing the lower smaller branches to beguin growing larger and createing a shorter, bushier plant

- use a wider final pot, instead of a deeper pot

These are just a handful of methods I use. There are others, but this should be enough to give you an idea and get you started.

Also, keep in mind that once a plant is sexually mature enough for flower it will streatch roughly 2-3 times its height from when you flip to 12/12 and can take upwards of 10-14 days for flowering to beguin depending on strain.

Thank you for a very informative answer. The goal is to have as big yield as possible. How many plants and in what pot size would you recommend under a 600w HPS lamp? Would it be better to give them space to grow wide or maybe make a SoG in the area?

Under my 600, i like to grow 9 plants - topped and bushed, in 3 gallon pots. Depending on strain, typical yield is 14-18 zips

*edit: my 600 cab is 3.5' x 3' x 6'
