Critical orange punch dwc

This is a critical orange punch grow from seed, she’s been going about 2-3 weeks.

It has been fim’d once, then I have trained all of the lower branches down to ensure a wide plant.

I cut 2 fan leaves off in order to allow light to penetrate lower, I generally would avoid doing so but they were insanely huge and stunting my training.
Using advanced nutrients, rodi water DWC and rapid led’s chilled 100 puck.
It is gaining height quickly now, the plan is to veg to 24” of plant height then flower. I have been really impressed with the node and stock girth of the strain so far.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

I have a blood level in my THC stream, yet the critical orange punch I grew out from a freebie pack just about made me fall down.
Toe up from the flo' up, if you catch my drift.
My friends ask "Is it that COP stuff?" when I smoke with them now.
Rock hard buds about the size of a quarter, mostly, when dried and cured.
Only thing i don't like about it, is that it carries the musky smell some OGs carry, that make you check it over and over again for mildew and mold, but it never has any.
Worrisome in the jar, but always good to go.
And yes, I kept it and I will have it to grow out occasionally.
It was a Fem, so no breeding with it.
But the peculiar sort of buzz it gave was enough to keep it.
Some people described it as smoking a joint and drinking a cup of coffee at the same time. Others, like it had nicotine in it. I actually still have an ounce or so, well cured about 6 months old. Keeps well.
But interesting enough to keep, and strong as all getout.
Good luck with that! You should enjoy it.

A couple update pic’s, taking me a bit to get back into the flow of growing. I defoliated the other day and it seems to have caused some stress.

my fan also slid down and was blowing directly at the plant, my humidity seems low aswell I may need to get a humidifier and probe in there.

Just going to take a bit to dial myself back into growing, overall the plant is growing well, lower branches have stretched to the light but seem to be thickening now, I think another week as long as all goes well then I will flip.

A bit more defoliation today, maybe a bit too much. Atleast all lower growth sites have light now. I think as long as it heals and the lower sites gain some girth I will begin flowering on Friday.
The plan is to take a few cuttings from the lower sections for a “mother” plant moving forwards. I’m really impressed with this girls genetics so far!

I am kind of journaling this one, I like to go back and review progress and see where I made mistakes.

I have taken 2 clones from the plant to keep the genetics going.

I may run one of the outdoors this summer beside my peach tree.

bud sites seem to have improved, overall strength is becoming greater, and the root mass has exploded over the past couple of days. Friday is flip day!

Another big defoliation to get the light down to bud sites today, hopefully it will strengthen some lower sites, I remove some of the small bud sites that will not flourish in time ( I’d say 6 of the lankier ones).

flip is tomorrow night, it’s a really bushy plant! I was hoping to level out the growth a bit more prior to flip, but I don’t want to scrog this girl.

the smell is already impressive for a plant that hasn’t even been flipped! Pretty excited.

Flip started on Friday night, I cleaned out the reservoir on Sunday, added new nutes, clean water etc. some slight stretching but nothing crazy so far, I’m glad I flipped when I did I’ve ran out of room width wise in the tent for the most part.

hopefully I have enough room height wise!

She is in full stretch mode, growth has been great this week and looking healthy.

I really hope there is enough room in the tent to handle the full growing period. Smell is amazing so far.

might run one of the clones I took outdoor this year!

Unfortunately we had a 4 day power outage in Ontario from a huge storm. The plant had no light, air movement, or air to the roots.

it seems to have survived and is making its way towards finishing, I may have lost something in the way of yield because of it but I’d say she’s probably got 2-3 weeks left, as long as she continues to swell and hairs recede.

I’m really not in any rush which is nice, smell is insanely pungent, I do not get as much citrus now as early flowering stages. I’m going to run the next one ( clone) in soil to see the difference in results… haven’t grown soil in 11 years.
