Thought I'd throw this in........I'm in my 4th week of flowering (26 days in) with the CK, 24 plants total. It stretched more than I thought it would, but looks like a heavy yielder- I pinched it once in veg. It's been an easy grow, and not a hermie in site. Staying nicely green, buds are starting to fill in nicely. I'm going to 65 days. Nice stentch already........ it's a #1 seller (top 5 in many seedbanks) for a reason.......if done correctly, it's a very nice smoke- strong and tasty.

There are plenty of pic's on the net.......do some searching.

It's a month later since my last post, and am less then 2 weeks away from harvest. There is a lot of variation in 24 plants and some are done and others probably have 3 weeks. I'm going to day 67, and will harvest everything at the same time. I cut a small bud and dehydrated it today for a few hours. It only took 1 hit and I was very high.....and it lasted a good, long time. House is getting real smelly now too........I'll try to put up pic's at the end.

Sounds like we flipped the same week.. Was planning to get mine at least partly chopped a couple days before 60 and then let the lower buds develop a bit more.. Mostly cause it will be a Friday and give me time to trim. Read on that super long ck thread someone had grown it several times and never had to go past 58.. Good smoke reports on that thread but not many pics I found past 20 or 30 days.. Got any recent Pics u could post sooner? Just curious to see how others are doing and if I'm on track.. Mine are really frosty but only just now starting to have buds open up the last week or 2.. The main cola from the best looking one is like a furball of pistils bigger than my forearm and not opening as much as some middle sites. Only my 3rd grow ever and first with my current light/room etc. any tips on how to pinpoint when 2 weeks before finish is? (Visually that is - obviously a calandar if u r going to go x # days) I don't want to take any too early but I also want to get flushing in before it makes me go too long too

looking really happy and healthy. how are you GDP turning out?. I go by the trichs. once they get mostly cloudy I start flushing for a week (I know flushing is widely debated on here) and I harvest with mostly cloudy and some amber.. 70/30 ish. to each their own, sometimes I go with cloudy, or sometimes I will go with mostly amber, depends on the strain (sativa dom or indica dom).

Its funny the GDP look a bit more mature but way smaller cause they're clones/moms - great looking buds on them tho - I just thought the ck was supposed to finish faster is all and yea I didn't really mean flush - I will just water with plain water and normal runoff for about a week or 2 I guess when I see mostly cloudy trichs - thanks for the tip -

Can't do pic's as I have to borrow a buddies camera but at some point when finished I'll take some bud shots. I've seen people harvest anywhere from 56-75 days, depending on the pheno. 2 or 3 out of my 24 plants are ready and could have been harvested
at 8 weeks. I also have 2 or 3 plants way behind the rest and they might have to go to 70+ days. But on average around 63-67 days is about right on most. There are still plenty of clear trichomes.......take it from me, the longer the better!!! Your's are way behind mine though, I am not seeing many white hairs, if at all, except at the tops of a few buds. I've been just giving mine fresh water for more than a week now and plan to cut most of them this Saturday at day 64...My house is really stinking now, the wife is complaining every day. I also have a few single freebie seed plants i.e. N.L. X Big Bud, AfghanKush X Skunk and LSD which will be moved to another room to finsh, along with the 2-3 slower CK's.

The CK thread went to hell, as people are now talking about all kinds of other strains......and there is limited good info in there. Disappointing somewhat........lastly, I cut a bud a few days ago off a well done plant and dehydrated it for about 5 hours. It was very good...............I only needed one large bong hit for the evening.

I just did a thorough walk thru, in the dark, with my green light LED flashlight and have decided to go to Sunday now which will be 65 days of flowering. I'm just starting to see a few amber trichomes, and another 4 days will change that from 1-2% amber to maybe 10-15% which is plenty. It's really a stinky strain, so be very prepared towards the last 3-4 weeks of flowering.

Well, no camera yet but I'll report that everything has been drying for 6 days.......it's very stinky- a deep, rich funk that has a "sour" taste right now while smoking. It's quite potent and rarely I need more than 1 bong hit to get me high. I'll package most everything up in large tuperware containers to continue to dry and cure. I'll report final weight, pictures and a final smoke report in a couple of weeks.

Still waiting on the camera but everything is done and packaged away. Total weight was 59 oz, pretty dam good under 2 1000 watters. I've grown a lot of Kushes and this is up there with most of them: great yield, high quality, sticky and smelly, easy to grow, no hermie's anywhere, and the plants are fairly uniform. I'm pleasantly surprised overall, but Barney's did a real nice job with this. I will also mention I grew 1 of Barney's LSD plant (freebie seed) and it also turned out to be a very nice sativa but it took 11 weeks to flower properly.

A number of my medical friends made it a point to let me know it gets high marks for pain relief, sleeping, relaxing, headaches, etc. They were very excited.......

So, Overall Quality 9/10
Ease of growth 9/10
Smell 8.5/10 (quite stinky, be prepared)
Yield 9.5/10 (extremely high yield)
Bag Appearance 8.5/10

28 day veg, 65 days flower from light turned back. Nice chunky buds too. There is a reason why it's a top seller and it's clear to see. I'll be doing this again at some point.

I don't have enough time to chop and trim ugh! Got a friend to help about 4 hours ea on fri and sat and got about the first 2 or 2 1/2 oz that looked more ready (was 60 days fri and I guess were slow noobs and maybe distracted with scissor hash too haha) almost all was GDP besides one branch and just been able to get a branch or 2 a day since then.. Kind of keeping up as each branch finishes but I'm just worried they will all finish about the same day soon.. Also I'm no expert on when exactly to chop - hard to see amber under hps light and don't want to mess with the lighting just to check that so just going by general appearance when it all looks swelled up and very few if any white pistils - getting a little blue and purple too on the ck which I didn't expect - did u get that too? They are looking great tho I'll try to post pics by the end of the weekend - just know I need to trim as much as possible right now cause I only have a few hours a day and weekends to do it. Going to try those 62% humidity packs to help dry/cure - I haven't been very successful on getting a good smell in the past - it's very humid here - may also try dry ice on a branch or 2 over the weekend and consider for the remainder if I like the way it turns out - idk.. Got any drying and curing tips for a noob in a humid area without a dehuey? Other than get a dehuey haha and the obvious fresh air being very important - like what is ideal rh when u jar and is it ok to jar with the humidity in jar going up to about 75% where it had been 65-8ish in a brown bag? I'm more worried about the hay smell than mold as I always have the hay problem and haven't yet had mold - also I fully trim/manicure right when I chop - sorry long post - a little stressful time with trying to trim so much (for a noob) and dry properly with little spare time

I found day 65 or so perfect for chopping....this way you don't have to go branch to branch inspecting. I just wait til then and chop everything. 2 plants were totally ready at about 8 weeks, but most of them benefited waiting a bit longer.

Regarding drying, here's what I do. I run string from one wall to another and hang all main cola's and larger branches there. All the smaller stuff is placed on screen doors, elevated on plastic buckets. I run a dehumidifier and floor fan (slowly) for 8 days. All trimming is done first, before hanging, etc. Then everything is weighed and placed in mason jars which are burbed a few times a day for around 2 weeks or so. You have to be carefull with this strain, as it tends to mold up if it's not warm enough in the room. . In a high humidity area such as yours, a dehumidifier is a necessity and will save you a lot of grief in the end. I live near water, and get a good amount of rain too- which does slow down the drying time, which sucks. So, keep it a bit warmer in the room and a slow fan blowing to hasten drying and stop mold from forming.

I'm profoundly color blind, so seeing colors in the buds is tough but others have mentioned to me some purple/black/blue coloring. Personally, I don't see it though.

Ah color blind - sorry to hear - I got pics tho here's one half trimmed I just finished and the top from the more mature ck
image.jpg image.jpg
And some close ups of the blue/purple - it is
faint but def there - just wondering if it was to be expected on this strain and it sounds like yes
image.jpg image.jpg
And lastly one of about the biggest remaining GDP bud - I love how everything has turned out and absolutely recommend a go box for nutes for beginners - it's been super easy to not have major problems - also have used medina hasta grow plant and medina plus in the past and had great results too -

So - sorry - but about the hay smell - that means it dried too fast and nothing else really happened when it got jarred right? The humidity is so screwed up here it was low today and stuff I thought needed another day yesterday is now bone dry and snappy stems etc - can't check it at all for most of the day - was not much just the scraggly parts from the GDP we took fri + sat.. The other got jarred a couple days ago but has had to go to paper bag and open jar quite a bit (I think anyway - has had to to not make me worry haha) but it's smelling pretty good now and still a little flex in the stems and got my 62% packs today so got those in all the jars for now - hopefully they help a bit

I have found that even when buds seem really dy, when you can/jar them up, the moisture still left in the stem re-moisturizes the bud a bit so bone dry isn't necessarily bone dry in the end. Pacjage it all up and give it a day or two and check them again.

My buds look very similar to you CK pic's, although I think mine were a bit more done which no white pistals showing anywhere.

I've been trying to get some GDP seeds but it seems everyone has been out of them for a while but they are expecting a re-stock at some point. I just started flowering a room of Holy Grail Kush, which is next up in line for me.

Man I'm dealing with the same kind of temps and high humidity, I have a old 5000 btu window unit, and a old heat making ass dehumidifier. I put the dehumidifier on a timer to only come on once a hour during lights on time, for 15 mins. Some times my room gets over 90°. But I made it through the summer with two harvests. I did insulate all around my room though. Summer is almost gone here hopefully its on its way out for u to. I run 1000 watts mh & hps.

For sure keep those temps down and the humidity low in the final 3 weeks. It's great smoke and a big yeilder but she can get bud riot, aka grey mold, very easily and it can ruin a whole harvest. Very tight and surgery buds that get purplish. Grown mine hydro and soil and the hydro by far the best for me. Like to run mine in the cooler months due to where I live. Keep the stress low and she won't herm on you. Let those temps get too hot and let the humidity too high and she can bean up on you. Overall I kept one of her so I can run her every now and again. She's in my rotation. Tastes good and is potent.
