Is your tent sealed? I run some exhaust in my tent because gotta vent that heat out.
No I have a passive air intake that goes to a window so I have fresh always getting sucked in. Carbon filter>inline fan> hood>out the tent. I'm able to keep temps in the 70s with lights on. Summer is another story. I have sliding windows so I can't run a window a/c. Can't really run a portable a/c either because it would look a little sketch seeing as it a spare bedroom and have neighbors close by.

I tried to run a tank but it was to much. Had to run 2 inline fans, one on all the time cooling the hood the other on and off every 15 mins coordinated with co2. To noisy and to hot.

Piece of plexiglass works great to close in the top. Use removable tape to close seams to remove in colder months.
