Crinkled leaves in organic soil

I doubt seriously that its caused by a deficiency or pH. From the 3 pics posted I would lean more toward a bit too much Nitrogen causing the wrinkling. Think of a leaf like an air mattress when you inflate it. The more air(water in the plant)you blow into it the more the wrinkles go away. Same basic thing in your plant, a bit too much n causing rapid growth that just takes a few breaths or water uptake in this case to completely fill the new growth out.

I don't use RO water, but my irrigation water has been tested, and it's only about 68ppm, ph 7.

The problem seems to be going away almost completely now, as the plants have seemed to take up a bit of a growth spurt.

I would think the above poster is correct re nitrogen. Everything is very green and lush, perhaps too much so.

Either way, it's working itself out on it's own. This is a minor inconvenience compared to what I would be dealing with had I continued to run synthetics. I'm sure I would have burned them badly at least once already. Organics just seem to be far more forgiving.

Another thing I wanted to mention: Since switching to organics, I have had herds of ladybugs move into my grow area. When I used synthetics, they wouldn't come near my plants. Now that I'm full organic, they are everywhere. For those of you who aren't aware, ladybugs are exceptional little predators to keep in your garden. They have been defending my plants very well, no sings of any spider-mites or pests of any other sort.

You should check your soil for fungus gnat larvae. I had a similar issue on my last grow and it only happened on the plant that's soil was infested with hundred's of fungus gnat larvae's. You can take a spoon and pull back the top 1 or 2" of soil and if you have them, you will see them. Looks like tiny thin little maggot's in the soil..but the size of a thread... Otherwise not too sure, but it may be one thing to cross of your diagnostic list... good luck

My blue widow clones always crinkle like that after their first transplant into potting mix. I don't think it's anything to worry about. It's a probably growth spurt.
