Creating $50,000 strain

I'm working on a "project" for a professional grower I know, he wants a strain that has a high amount of THC but a fruity taste and smell that starts with a cerebral high and ends with almost a couchlock. The strain has to be autoflowering but it should have the hight of a sativa/indica mix. I have about a year to try and stabilize the strain so that it is stable, I'm going to collect 500 seeds from the offspring of the Newly created strain. That's right, I'm selling each seed for about $100 so it is very important for the two parent plants to create the above mentioned traits. What strains do you think would be good for the two parents?

Sounds like your friend should chose a different person to work on his project if you don't even have an idea as to which plants to use.

Generally the strains that sell for that kind of money are the ones crossed with multiple rare or clone only strains etc, then backcrossing to remove traits or isolate traits and yadayada, not just tossing a male next to a female and calling it a day, and will often take a lot longer than simply a year to stabilize and identify and nail down the desired traits.

yeah the question is a bit of a paradox, want to charge $100 per seed but want suggestions on how to do it?? get real.

you want to make a high thc count on an autoflower?good luck buddy.Autoflowers are notorious for making great buds with slightly less thc than one usually wants

i hate when people get in a thread before me and steal the shit i was going to say.

you're going to charge $100 a seed and make some magical strain and you're asking internet gurus what parents to use? seriously?

this guy is going to be back in a week asking everyone how to harvest pollen.

why buy a seed for $100 when you can buy a female clone for $10 ?
Poster must be very high this morning. If your " Friend " is a professional grower , then why is he asking YOU to make a strain for him ? A real grower will do his own work so as to control everything.

you hit the nail on the the head
i control everything my self, no body helps me, no body has ever been in my grow room,
some forms in the passed have been helpful
but Google will give you nearly every answer you need if you ask the right question

i find that from a pack of seed the plants are very different from each other,
height, yield, smoke,width of plant
i have never seen two identical plants from a pack of seed, they are all different in there own ways
that
why a lot of grower that what the best from a strain
will grow 20+ seeds non feminized and have a good chance of getting a good plant
so for me to get a good plant out of your strain i can't because its auto
9 seeds for $900
how many oz could i buy for $900
just think about it, even if you could get that strain
would any body buy it

From my understanding of hybridizing, it takes about 7 generations to come up with a somewhat stable cross between 2 plants. With that said it sounds like you're looking at crossing several. At about 3 months per generation I'd say realistically it'd take about 2.5-3 years. How companies do it so quickly is beyond me (probably don't stabilize though , which explains why a 5 seed pack will yield 3 different phenos just for one trait).

With that said, good luck with a year.

Im also looking for a plant that will produce a seed i can sell for $100 a piece but i dont really want to fuck about with all the hard work. So if someone that knows what to do could do everything then i'll let them keep a seed that way they can grow their own plant etc etc see how it works?

Also the plant needs to be harvestable within a week and im looking for a yield of around 9 ounces a plant just off the light that would be available from your average window (this will keep the electric bill down)

I dont want any clever twat comments just do it fast thanks.

yields 20lbs under a single 1w led, smells like pomegranate/vagina/burnt hair and yeast. Also boasts 250% thc.

Alright guys how do I harvest pollen?! I'm just kidding, I'm not completely lost when it come to genetics I'm just asking why genetics would be preferred, damn. And I'm not charging $100 per seed he is paying me $100 per seed, I never aske to het paid that much.
