cracked stem

While doing some LST, I split open two of my plants main stems. They are just like little gashes not that deep maybe 1/4 or 1/3 of the way thru the stem. I was just wondering if it will be a problem and if there is anything I can do to make it heal better or faster.

should heal just fine, use tooth picks to make a stint and tape it together.
