The Lost and Found Slo2 was cashed. Root and stem damage. I hate that. I was wanting to see what kind of catch up it could play after spending almost 5 months in a Styrofoam coffee cup.

This morning I took food and water to the SOL, GV and Slo patches. The 88{F1} in the GV patch that I had LOB'ed had more deer damage. The young 88 in the same patch that had been ate and was making a comeback got ate again too. Next season I'm going to cage everything.

Yesterday I went by the BP patch. I cut the shoots off CP1 male #2 {the keeper}.
DSCF1004.JPG

CP1 male #1 got the chop. {saw actually, but you know what I mean} My buddy bought a new car and his weed and beer budget is zero, so I saved a lot of the leaves for him. {also saved a few of the shoots. This pheno was taller than I wanted, but you never know when you might want that} He was loving the tops I gave him earlier in the summer. Haven't had a smoke report on the huge bag of BST2 male leaves I gave him last week.

This morning I got over to the AL patches {the bugout patch}. ALe had 2 CPDA and 1 CP1 males. I killed one of each. It sure is nice to have some choices. If you guys don't remember, I used hot hose water to wet the seeds everyday while they were germinating. Sub Cool says that when you germ above 85F, you get more males. Well, according to my results, I would say that was the case for me.

The young CPDA in ALe is looking healthy.

That is not the case with this older CP1 in ALw. It is doing the same thing as the Deer Ate CP1. {which I forgot to post about. I'll do that in a minute}

I neglected to say I took food and water to the BP patch yesterday and the AL patches today. I've started the brown sugar now, and just a little of the bloom food mixed in with my usual veg food.

Yesterday there was more dead leaves on the Deer Ate CP1. Looking from the west side, it looks fine.

From the east side, not so much.

After the AL patches, I hiked in to the KP patches on a dry run. This is where the pines might get thinned. There are no males there, and none of the girls are really breeding material, so if I don't go back until time to cut, that would be alright. But I will play it by ear.

Four of them are in this huge mess of grapevines. Every time I go I have to cut vines away from the plants.

what could you do to keep the deer away in the future? what smells like wolf that you could spread around

Also went to the FP patch. I looked the BST1 over real good, but couldn't see any worms. Gave it a light spray of Neem anyway. I came up from the bottom, and just gave it a very quick mist. I didn't have the camera, but the seeds are starting to form on all three of the girls there.

I'm going to try some wire cages I guess. Although tomato cages didn't stop the SOB's from getting my two best 88's. I did use some smelly stuff this year, but you have to keep adding it when it rains.

I'm still having problems in the SOL, GV and Slo {where the 88's are} patches, as well as some others. But the Deer Ate CP1 got it's name as a seedling back in March. They left me two leaves, and it grew out to be about 10 feet tall.

I got a pile of leaves bagged up, but I never considered smoking them. I'm going to use mine for edibles; shits to harsh on the lungs to be smoking for little gain
I smoked my tops all summer, mixed with bought pot. But it's been a while since I had to smoke leaves. Do you decarb them the same as bud? 210F for 2 hours?

I should have got to the 3DT, JP, SEE and DDW patches today. There are two male GV1's and one of them needs to be killed. Just ran out of time. Can't do it tomorrow either, as I have office relief all day.

Yes would be same re: decarb. Only time I ever smoked leaf is when I used to buy this very cheap local shit here, I emphasize the word shit :). Way harsh....Thats where the chlorophyll goes.....
When I was young, we would all blow though our bud in a few months. then have to root hog or die poor during the summer. I smoked a lot of leaves back then. We always topped heavy. Not just because it was good for the plant, but because we were ready for something besides leaves to smoke.
